Know someone in management. Because if not, you'll get all the bad jobs. They hire fairly easy, because they can not keep anyone for very long.
Have a resume available and be ready to discuss your experience with interviewer. Good way to sell yourself is to mention previous experiences that relate to job you're applying to get employer interested in you. Make it known that you're a relaible employee and that hiring you will be a good investment for them. On that note, good luck!

If you are given an interview the ask them if they will contact you with their decision rather than just letting you assume you didn't get the job if you don't hear from them.
