This place has awesome products and it allows you the opportunity to learn a lot about the glass industry. However, workers are not compensated for the amount of weight they pull on a daily basis. All employees are underpaid according to average standards and there is no job security. Going into work, you may have feel that you have to watch your back as far as doing something wrong in the workplace or be watched while you perform your everyday tasks, In addition, there is no communication, at all. This is very important in every job, and even more so in a small-team job. When suggestions arise or problems occur, the management does not take any suggestions into consideration and they are taken as a personal stab. Just be aware that everyday going into work, feels like a new day and not in a good way, decisions will be made with no announcements for policy's, departments, and locations of materials. In addition, there are no supply's that make it an enjoyable work environment. It is a large metal warehouse with no air conditioning and one fan. The business does not supply adequate amounts of fluids for employees to work in a hot warehouse, as there are two water fountains. The last issue is that the founders and owners are in a relationship and it isn't healthy for the work environment as emotions constantly arise and get in the way of productivity. There is crying in meetings and employees were yelled at on multiple occasions in a manner that felt threatening. Just treat it as a job and you'll be fine, just don't invest more than you're willing to lose.

Just don't like the way they treat the workers who go out there way to make things work. Its a blame game with the workers. And very low pay. Great if you were a student.

Smoke Cartel lives up to the hype! Managers are thoughtful and considerate. They care so much about the employees professionally and personally. Special treats, dinners out, fun lunches brought in, gifts, etc... Yes, the work is hard and ever changing and it makes for an environment where only the strong survive and I'm okay with that. I trusted everyone on the team because I knew they could rise to the occasion.
