Fun place to work, horrible pay
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) - Eddystone, PA - September 13, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedOnly good if you’re a manager but even then the pay is bad depending on the location. No room to grow, hard to move up & they require a lot, with too many rules. If you’re part time, they’re always low on hours, unless its tax season, back to school & christmas.

Stagnant
MIT (Manager in Training) (Former Employee) - Somerdale, NJ - October 16, 2023
This company will keep you stagnant no matter how hard you work. The customers are great the pay is very low and they do not educate or train you to progress to the next level.

It was an ok place to work. Got discounts on nice shoes and accessories. Sometimes the hours could be a headache but management still worked with us. Ok place to work

Horrible work place
MIT (Manager in Training) (Current Employee) - Brooklyn, NY - September 14, 2023
Overall, company does not care about employee well being. If you love having a stress induced life this is the job for you. Best way to describe this job is it is full of a bunch of run arounds

Only work here if you're a teen or a manger
Cashier/Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Philadelphia, PA - September 13, 2023
This is not a job for adults with bills. Anyone who isn't a manger can only work part time, full time is just for mangers. They pay $13.50 an hour and you get paid biweekly, so your checks would be around $300-450. If you have bills and/or rent that pay is pocket change. Majority of the people working there act like their still in high school, their irresponsible, immature, and mean.
Pros
Discount on shoes and clothes
Cons
Short breaks, horrible management, immature people

It is ok
Sales Associate/Cashier (Current Employee) - Brooklyn, NY - July 10, 2023
Working at Snipes has its perks, from getting a higher chance of buying sneakers on the release date to having a 30% discount on clothes and certain sneakers as an associate. Other than that, Snipes isn't a company that wants to see everyone grow. The company gives you minimum wage, but they expect you to perform many tasks that deserve a higher wage. They give you raises yearly that are between a 1%-4% increase. I believe the job is just good for part-time people who are in school and for those who want a second job or if you want to be in management because they get bonuses.
Pros
Higher chance of buying a sneaker on release date and 30% discount.
Cons
Min wage

Fun work place, easy job
MIT (Manager in Training) (Current Employee) - New York, NY - May 21, 2023
They promote people easily but most don’t deserve the position . Terrible District Managers always having favorites Not worth the pay for the title. Most of the time you’re doing the store managers job for them

Definitely a fun and easy place to work, decent management, but lacking advancement opportunities.
Sales Associate (Current Employee) - Chicago, IL - May 16, 2023
Working at Snipes is definitely an easy retail job, a great place for people to start out in retail, and it’s pretty fun. It’s a welcoming environment, and great for experience. I’d say it’s lacking in expansion for pay and and lacking in opportunity in career growth. Moving up takes way longer than it should. I recommend this job for anyone looking for an entry retail job, but if you’re trying to grow fairly quickly, you’ll find yourself pretty frustrated within months.
Pros
Fun, good work environment, receptive and understanding management staff.
Cons
Lacking room for career growth.

Cons

Challenging and stressful with a pinch of fun
Assistant Manager (Current Employee) - Newark, NJ - April 26, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? You may meet a few good people who become good friends What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Going above and beyond for your work and they don’t pay you what you deserve, and also they move you at the most inconvenient of time What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Depending on the store your work environment varies from bad to ok enough to deal with and there is no culture the company is very one sided What is a typical day like for you at the company? Work, Help manage the store sometimes with no break, doing jobs that’s not in your pay grade

Was sad to go
Store Manager (Former Employee) - Hamilton, NJ - April 24, 2023
I spent 5 years with this company (used to be Kicks USA). Once Kicks USA was bought out by SNIPES a lot of the dynamic and culture changed. Some for the better, some for the worst. The company's main focus right now is expanding and marketing. They have no idea what's going on in the field and how the market is. The team dynamic is amazing. I made life long friends here. I was a store manager for 3 years and when I tell you it was such a stressful job! I loved it but I was extremely overworked and underpaid. I truly enjoyed my time here and sometimes consider going back. Then I remember how stressed I truly was. There is a tremendous amount of room to grow however you better be ready to not have any type of work life balance and have an alcohol problem lol
Pros
Fun, relaxed, family like atmosphere, sneaker releases, discounts
Cons
No work life balance, underpaid

overworked!!
Planner (Former Employee) - Philadelphia, PA - March 16, 2023
upper leadership is clueless. Direct manager shouldn't be leading a team. if you like last minute task and an unpredictable environment and consistently on edge your will succeed.

Fun people and cool environment. Higher ups ruin it however
Stock Manager (Former Employee) - Grand Rapids, MI - January 28, 2023
The shoes, music, people, and lax culture make it fun. If you work even a little bit harder than your coworkers, you can get a promotion within the first month of working there. However, they can't keep a manager, and the ones they pick are shady. A lot of stealing done by employees and managers. Plus the pay is mid. If you do get promoted you'll naturally make more money, but be blamed for everything if your job title has the word "management" in it no matter what it is.

fun workplace, too much responsibility
Retail Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Freehold, NJ - January 26, 2023
I was a sales associate and it wasn't too bad until the end of my time there. Management all disappeared one day and changed & most of the time closing the store it was mainly just me doing the work. It was fun but it wasn't somewhere I wanted to be going into my 20s.

Either super slow or super fast paced
Third Key Manager (Current Employee) - Hartford, CT - December 29, 2022
The pay isn't the greatest unless you're a full time Manager at a successful store meeting their monthly sales goals. Due to 'image' you're stuck dealing with a whole bunch of ignorant, young college aged students who are free to do whatever they want with the store. Company has discipline for certain things yet super laid back for others. Your coworkers become family in these small stores though. There are either super busy stores that keep you on your toes all day long or the super slow stores that have you feeling like 8 hours is 24. Going up in the company all depends on your manager and who they decide deserves 'the spot', yes; it's based on favoritism, growth, and qualifications (30% of the time)
Pros
401k plan, employee discount
Cons
Short breaks, favoritism
