Energetic and collaborative company to work for.
Solutions and Services (Current Employee) –  Philadelphia, PAFebruary 5, 2019
I have had the pleasure to work for a number of companies throughout my career and Softchoice is definitely one of the best places I've been.

If you are willing to engage and be a team player, Softchoice can be very rewarding. Management at Softchoice is approachable and encourages self development and the success of the individual, not just the company.
Pros
Friendly, pleasant, growth opportunities
Cons
Not a publicly traded company so there is not public stock available

Territory Sales Representative (Seattle) (Former Employee) –  Seattle, WASeptember 2, 2018
Company changed over time. It used to be more hands off, you had a book of business and were responsible for hitting quota. Now they care more about metrics like the # of dials, how long you were on the phone, ect. and not as much about profit.
Pros
some free lunches

Account Manager (Current Employee) –  Seattle, WAMay 19, 2018
Softchoice is a Canadian based company that has several offices in the U.S. They offer competitive benefits and pay. The opportunity for advancement is there however the increase in pay is marginal.

Hour break for lunch, beer cart Friday on the last Friday of each month, and you can bring your dog to work in certain locations.

Day In the Life
Inside Sales Account Manager (ISAM) (Former Employee) –  Norcross, GAMay 16, 2018
My job is very challenging but rewarding. There are several layers of technical information to understand and know. Organization is key. A typical day can be speaking to a c-level decision maker on a project, submitting a deal registration, quoting, processing orders, following up on orders, forecast management, attending vendor training. My office has an open concept. It’s great for having conversations with the team. We allow dogs in our office, that is great. Once a month we have an after hours event for the office.
Pros
Lots of free lunches and breakfast, bring dogs to work
Cons
work-life balance; only one work from home day a week.

Entry level type company
Telebusiness Representative (Former Employee) –  Seattle, WAOctober 18, 2017
The culture over there is one that if you are good friends with the person hiring you have a better shot at the position than someone with better qualification. They promote from within, but it is typically not the best candidate and goes back to the who you are friends with piece above. The pay is on par with an entry level job, but is terrible for a more seasoned candidate. The culture is more like a fraternity or sorority than a business. The people there were nice, but it is not very professional.

Territory Sales (Current Employee) –  Chicago, ILMay 7, 2017
Softchoice is a really fun and challenging place to work. The best part of working there is that you really feel you have all the tools you need to succeed. You can ask anyone a question and know they would be willing to help. The company is making big investments in many tools that will really help achieve its growth goals and make it a destination to work.

Great company, bad training
Territory Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  Norcross, GAOctober 26, 2016
Hired with lack of sales or technology experience. Despite a month of training in Toronto, I still feel unprepared for the job. Way too much information to obtain to be expected to regurgitate it on phones. Daily requirements are to make 100 calls, continuously update prospect list, meet with other reps further along in role, and attend multiple meetings. It's not possible. Good company with good benefits, but the TSRs are being asked too much of for lack of knowledge and not enough time in day.

Account Executive (Current Employee) –  EastDecember 13, 2013
If you work at the headquarters you can bring your dog to work.
If you're in a US remote office there is not much of a work atmosphere as you're independent, on the road and making your own schedule most of the time.
It's a very young company with a focus on a "drinking" culture. In the main office they have Beer Cart Friday.
Hardest part of the job is brand recognition in the US and building a new client base.
Most enjoyable part of the job is the freedom and flexibility to make your own schedule and building relationships with your clients.
