It was a very collaborative environment. As an intern you have the liberty of working with different people and asking lots of questions.
Development Intern (Former Employee) – New York, NY – April 24, 2018
An entrance position consists of a lot of administrative tasks which is expected. The biggest advantage of course, is meeting different people and gaining experience through multiple events and lectures.
Art Preparator (Former Employee) – New York, NY – May 11, 2018
Dynamic work environment with interesting coworkers and fascinating work material. Everyday was different, the days were never boring, and the scope of the work we installed was a dream for an artist, plus helped me to learn about art history in a very hands on way. The hours during an installation are very long, and it gets very tiring, but it's very rewarding work.
Temporary Employee (Former Employee) – New York, NY – October 17, 2017

Image Archive Associate (Current Employee) – New York, NY – August 13, 2017
overall, the museum is a wonderful place to work - some lack of direction from management, but the staff is wonderful. there is some lack of career advancement depending on what department you are in, but overall the culture of the museum is a good one. It's a small institution so mostly you get to know everyone who works there, which makes the harder parts of the job easier
Summer Intern (Former Employee) – New York, NY – August 30, 2013
> Good management > Creative and diverse work environment > The best part is being a part of a world-class art museum that offers excellent visual art experience to the public and allows its employees to participate as well.
