You will not make enough money at Sonic. The best thing to do is to work there to get experience and move on to something better. They will promise you the moon so you won't quit but never make good on any of your promises. Don't believe anything they say.

At my Sonic, all carhops get paid $4 an hour and are required to make a minimum of $3.25 per hour. Considering the amount of tips most girls pull, it’s fair. But, with the season change Sonic is making less money and now most are unable to meet minimum wage, causing strikes and write ups. It is completely unfair and not the girls fault. Are they supposed to lie and say they made more money to avoid termination? It is completely unfair. Also, I think there should be training days and trainers that get paid to do just that, because girls are just being thrown out there with no idea what to do. Lastly, give the people a raise that DESERVE it. I don’t believe you should be given a raise just because you’ve been there 3 years. Our shift leaders get paid to do NOTHING. They are the laziest and most selfish when it comes to taking out orders trying to make tips. I have busted my tail and earned my raise, but i cannot say the same about others who are “higher up” than me. One more thing, have enough carhops scheduled to avoid the unnecessary stress of the job. It shouldn’t be so stressful that the carhops want to just walk out on you.

“No you don’t not here anyway” might be my favorite answer. The folks that didn’t go to school also did not use any punctuation in there comment.

The management was extremely hateful, rude and unprofessional. I was tired of breathing in car exhaust and working for 5.15 an hour and getting treated poorly while doing it.

Payday is really inconsistent if we’re talking about exact days... well at least when I worked there. They said every 5th and 20th of each month which partially true, but you might get it earlier like the 2nd and 17th of each month.
