Medical staff beware
Overall this company is a sales company first, corporate puts money over staff and patients. The work load is exhausting for one person to take on, one nurse can be assigned to multiple tasks during the day making it difficult to get anything done. A lot of the time you’re never off at the scheduled time. You NEVER get a full lunch break. You do not have a work life balance at all. This company operates like an Assembly line and I question some of the staff I’ve seen brought on, working in an OR area with very little experienced nurses. If you don’t already have a background well... good luck. You’re thrown into the mix and hope there is someone there with some decent experience to take you in under their wing. This place is literally a law suit waiting to happen. It is VERY clear upper management/ administration doesn’t care about the medical staff. They do not see eye to eye on a lot of things and it causes a ridiculous amount of problems and stress for the medical side. It has been brought up multiple times by nurses and drs yet the issues are never addressed. Most of the people on the admin side have no experience running an OR or scheduling surgeries. It’s already setting the nurses and drs up for disaster. They do pay well, but after you’ve had enough no amount of money will make you want to stay, probably explains why this center has an extremely high turn over rate. I’ve seen 4 practice managers in less than 3 years here and multiple nurses and drs leave during this time frame as well.

Lack of competent management in center,causing employees and patients frustration and anger. Will push surgery for patients that may not be safe for surgery under local anesthesia. OR staff not properly trained or credentialed, run out of surgery supplies and medications regularly due to management not ordering.

Management and corporate only care about money and sales. They don’t care to much about the patients once their money is in the bag. No real room for advancement

This is a fun place to work as long as you allow the doctors and management to walk all over you. Management acts like everything is a popularity contest, and if you aren’t sucking up, you will not do well with the company. You’re better hope you don’t get injured on the job, they will only allow you to work for a short period of time before they terminate your employment. If you happen to be s as person that takes up the slack of others, don’t expect to get rewarded. The suck ups will get all of the glory, while you are left with the extra work. In a positive note, they do stock the lunchroom once a month, and buy lunches often. However, the food is gone in less than a week, and they don’t accommodate for food allergies or health concerns. Finally, the doctors can be unbelievable. They keep the doctors that have horrible outcomes, because they need to be able to fill surgery slots. There are some considerate doctors, that really do care about the patients. The majority only want the paycheck, and they will sacrifice quality to get it. Some will do everything in their power to blame their poor outcomes on the nurses, when it is their lack of judgement or knowledge that puts them in this position. Some doctors are only happy if they are making everyone miserable. Others are horrible to patients because the patient is sedated and they can get away with it. Some patients do recall the whole events, but nothing is ever done for them.
