The most useful review selected by IndeedVery fun to work at, but sometimes can be a bit cliquey of a work environment. Great perks and benefits, and the culture is to be kind. Overall a good place to work!

You get what you put in. Competitive and fun. Pay is ok. Worth it just to get a free spin membership and other perks. Just trying to fill the space here

Fun Workplace
Staff (Former Employee) - San Francisco, CA - February 17, 2023
Great work environment, productive and encouraging team. Room for growth and you get to ride for free if there is room in the class. Met some of my best friends while working there.

Front desk (Former Employee) - California - December 28, 2022
What is the best part of working at the company? Disorganized, out of touch, doesn’t care about employees or clientele. Only focused on cutting corners to make money, increasing demands on employees without compensation, and poor internal development What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Employee benefit to ride for freeWhat is the work environment and culture like at the company? Toxic and non inclusive

Great
Cleaner (Former Employee) - Chicago, IL - June 14, 2022
Cool place to work, friendly staff and free classes. Room to move up in company. Instructors are nice. Shifts are short so perfect for seasonal or part time.

Productive and fun workplace. Incredible community especially at the location I worked at.
Front Desk Associate (Former Employee) - New York, NY East 83rd St - April 16, 2022
The SoulCycle community is incredible. I had the best 2 years of my life working there part time while I was in college. The entire environment was efficient, managed very well, and was also a fun place to be. Strangely enough, I always looked forward to going to work, and my coworkers became my family.
Pros
Endless coffee runs, can ride for free
Cons
Not many benefits if you’re part time

Tough place for managers
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) - Los Angeles, CA - December 1, 2021
The culture seems amazing at the get-go, but corporate doesn’t give management enough tools to really implement and practice what they preach. Tough work life balance.

Company in transition
Director (Current Employee) - New York, NY - April 4, 2021
SoulCycle has a lot of work to do on their culture. The outward presentation is not reflective of the actual internal culture. There is unfortunately zero work like balance with work required on the weekends consistently. That said the product is amazing a lot of the people are incredible. The employees who have been there a long time understand the mission but the Equinox takeover has devalued the brand tremendously. There are so many great minds and amazing people who work for this company but the ever changing leadership does not value tenure and history and prioritizes bad behavior of the instructor population making it impossible to change the culture. Until people are held accountable for their actions nothing will change. Everything is done for face value.

Jobs at SoulCycle
Soulcycle
Customer Service (Former Employee) - NYC - November 5, 2020
Terrible place to work. Minimum wage with very little room for increase. The team here likes to say they are a family, but the employees are rude and catty. The managers as well, are mean and care only for the instructors happiness. Its very weird how front desk employees are treated like trash when we are the backbone of the company.
Pros
Clothes Discount
Cons
The Company Culture is horrible

Super fun environment to work however upper leadership fails in taking care of their people....it is all about the bottom line.
N/A (Former Employee) - Las Vegas, NV - April 3, 2020
SoulCycle desires to have a company just like lululemon. They hire people from lululemon in hopes to build the same type of culture however they fail at that specifically when it comes to leading through the lense of people. They care more about their bottom line than they do about their own people that work so hard for them.

Fun part-time job
Senior Keyholder (Former Employee) - Larkspur, CA - March 31, 2020
SoulCycle was a really fun, part-time job. But there wasn't a lot of room for growth. Hours were pretty restrictive as it has to follow a class schedule and the pay wasn't very competitive. The only perk that seemed to make up for the lack in my paycheck was the awesome people and free classes.
Pros
Free classes, great team
Cons
Pay, growth

All depends on which studio you are at
Front Desk Associate (Current Employee) - Brooklyn, NY - September 11, 2019
I have met amazing and horrible people working for this company. If you have a great team and managers, it can be heaven. Otherwise, the job can have several challenges.

Great place to work
Studio Manager (Former Employee) - British Columbia - May 15, 2019
The company culture is unmatched. You will work odd hours in the studio, but it's worth every minute. If you are open to relocating, there are endless possibilities for career advancement.

Interesting Place to Work
Front Desk Associate (Former Employee) - New York, NY - February 21, 2019
A typical day at Soul is wildly inconsistent, they often start exceptionally early, think 5am. The shifts are short to avoiding giving proper breaks and they severely restrict the number of hours eligible to work during the week. More than anything they need to evaluate studio culture, it appears loving and like a family, but actually this is not at all true. The culture at Soul demands that employees also be customers of the product, which is fine, except that it is not possible to do this unless you are from a family that is likely higher than middle income. Beyond that, they do not give clear access to HR personnel and the do not respect religious holidays as the law demands.
Pros
Free SoulCycle
Cons
Cooperate Culture, Inconsistent Hours
