Fun environment to just get your feet wet in the job market
Assistant Studio Manager (Former Employee) –  New York, NYFebruary 8, 2019
Soul is great to start with. Long term is not so great. Promotions and jobs are very much based on favoritisms and who knows who. Free classes is a great perk but doesn't balance with the low pay.
Pros
Free Class, Flexible Hours
Cons
Low Pay, No movement, Very "clique-y"

Fun place to work but lack of opportunities
Key Holder, Front Desk (Former Employee) –  Scarsdale, NYNovember 26, 2018
I worked at SoulCycle part-time for nearly 2 years. It was a fun place to work with a fairly flexible scheduling policy, but the career advancement was very poor.
Pros
unlimited free classes, relaxed environment
Cons
poor pay, no career advancement

Great Company to work for
Assistant Studio Manager (Current Employee) –  Los Angeles, CAMay 14, 2018
Soul is an awesome place to work, whether it is just as front desk or in upper management. I think the culture at Soul is hard to beat, you are able to connect with people on a personal level as well as be the best part of their day most of the time. I do however think the largest issue with the company across the board is their lack of proper compensation for employees.

Hard working job. Usually working by yourself. But time dose go by fast. Just try to come up with a schedule of what your going to do when working. And time will go by quick

It's Fun at times but takes away from the rest of your life.
Instructor (Current Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 1, 2017
As a client prior to working for SoulCycle, this job was a dream. After being hired, working here became difficult as the hours are peak when most people are through with work. A lack of communication throughout each department makes getting things done rather slow. The upbeat attitude that was drilled into the foundation of the company can make it hard to deal with the hard facts. Compensation was fair, at times. Over-expansion is what appears to be diluting the brand name.

Soul Cycle Review
Team Member (Former Employee) –  New York, NYNovember 8, 2016
Loved working here but the management at the location I was at was atrocious. Favoritism and they don't want you to succeed. The benefits are good and you get to take free classes after your shifts or during. Discounts on merchandise are a perk too. Downsides are weekly early AM shifts that are not flexible to those who haven't been there long-term. Overall, the staff is friendly but management favorites individuals who have been there for a long period of time and seem to be hard on those training.
Pros
merchandise discounts, free classes
Cons
management, early shifts

SoulCycle is an interesting place to work
Corporate Employee (Former Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 9, 2016
The company is growing at a fast pace..things change quickly. Studio teams are overwhelmed but always do their best and provide the best customer service to clients. Lot's of change going on with the executive team. Overall was a pleasant place to work. Loved most of my managers and people I worked with.
Pros
free soulcycle classes
Cons
benefits are not up to most company standards

Housekeeping/ Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Brentwood, CAApril 28, 2016
Working at Soulcycle was always fun. The leadership is very vocal about what needs to be done and they give you the tools and support to do your job well. The managers expect for you to do your job on time without any encouragement from them which I very much enjoyed. There was very little distractions from your duties. Sometimes lunches/snacks was provided.

As apart of the job you also got to ride for free and have a visitor as well. The instructors were very understanding of your job and very mellow. Overall my best working experience so far.
Pros
Occasional free lunch, free rides, free water, friendly staff
