Reviews about Pay & Benefits for Truck Driver in Southeastern Freight Lines
I enjoyed the people I had the opportunity to work with.
Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - September 18, 2012
A typical work day consisted of about 10 hours. I learned how to coordinate various routes and how to properly service established and new customers also how to perform my duties as safe as possible. In the line haul department, I learned to travel for long periods such as driving for up to 10.50 hours when needed.I also to operate the computer logging system. management was cooperative most of the time which made the work less complicated. Most of the co-workers got along very good. We had a close working relationship that felt like we were family. If one had something to come up at the last minute such as on the weekend we could call the manager and request if someone of our choice could cover the run especially on the team trucks. I would say that the most hardest part of the job is when I would have to break down and hook up a set of doubles in inclimate weather conditions. The most enjoyable part is when you reach your destination after a long drive.
Pros
great pay, great benefits and new trucks
Cons
none presently.

Don’t trust them
Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - May 15, 2020
Good place to get the experience as a beginner in the truck industry when it comes to LTL. Pay is not as great no overtime, they will make you work ridiculous long hours. The work is inconsistent. they go by seniority No assign trucks or designated route after two years. No respect for the drivers and no support. Old dirty trucks it can be a better place to work having better management.
Pros
Benefits weekend off
Cons
Bad management, no overtime horrible dispatching rude no respect for drivers.
