The OP poster stated *starting* engineer salary..Which generally is at a Engineer 3 level (the progression is Engineer 3,2,1, senior, lead, principal, etc), I would say $65K -$75K for starting salary but there is a great deal of overlap between the different grade levels. For an *experienced* engineer, such as myself (senior engineer), I was making $105,000 and then you have bonuses on top of that…another $12K-$17K depending on company performance.
