I would want the upper management restructured so that there were less AND people from all admin departments would have to work with the kids at a minimum of once a month. This way, they can see how their decisions are creating more work for everyone below them.

Sick leave accrues based on hours worked each pay period, up to two hours per week, and carries over from year to year. There is a 480 hour cap on how much you can accrue, but no limit on what can be used. You'll want to get a doctor's note if it goes past three consecutive days, though.

The life insurance isn’t anything to write home about.

3 weeks from start to finish. There are a number of process steps along the way which are mostly required by the state or the feds for working with at risk youth.

I did not work remotely, but it took about two weeks from interview to offer.

Usually there is an interview with a small group of managers, then if they offer the position you will have to do a background check, drug screen, physical, and complete a lot of paperwork before starting. Plan on this taking a couple weeks.

Realistically, this organization will go on as a federally funded Monopoly on preschool care. Upper management will continue to get raises while the people in the trenches will work harder and harder for very little additional compensation. Upper management will do whatever they can to cover their behind end up to and including firing those who disagree with them.
