The management is sub par. Benefits are horrible and you get scolded for being sick. There's bullying from upper management and your colleagues. The schedules are also horrible if you work in the CCC.

This is supposed to be a healthcare organization, but is run only with perspective on business. Due to this, the company makes decisions that are not compliant with ethics in healthcare. The turnover rate is extremely high. All management personnel are non-clinical and make decisions that directly reflect that.

Unsafe patient care via telemedicine. They do not respect the Nursing profession. They are reducing the Nursing staff because they do not believe Nurses clinical experience are relevant to their service lines. Patient care is being affected negatively. Benefits went from being poor to absolutely unacceptable. Head on the chopping block mentality. Toxic work environment.

Terrible experience. No direction from upper management. Everything is a priority. No matter what you are working on, there will be a new priority and you are expected to do both of them at all costs. Management always blames those at the bottom of the organization or those who have been with the company several years.

typical day at work consists of repetitive computerized work. Checking document check-boxes everyday for 8 hours is not what you want to work for. Managers do not care about you and send condescending emails. They make you feel inferior because they are jealous. Supervisors hire overqualified candidates who have 4 year degree while they only have an AA.

SOC has a bad past, but the future seems pretty bright. The work load is tough, but they are in a phase of rebuilding. The people that work there are genuinely good at heart.

Specialists on call initially felt dynamic, exciting, youthful and it's premise right on point. Unfortunately after an influx of capital from an investment firm the company grew faster than their operational capability. Turnover and firings were constant until the investment company took over to try and recoup losses. If SOC's ship can be righted I still believe it has the bones to be a fabulous company that could fit a much needed niche.
