Not alot of people to trust
It was a wonderful job at first then, once they figure out your weaknesses, they start trying to get rid of you very quickly because they have someone in mind for your position.

Job is not difficult. Not much room for advancement in some departments. State benefits are a plus.
Minimum salary is not being met in some job classifications for the people that are currently employed; however, new hires will get the minimum. This seems unfair for those of us that have been working here! We can all thank Mississippi State personnel Board - Project SEC2.

Management is HORRIBLE
It's not just horrible management that made it hard to go to work everyday it was a majority of the people who had worked there for a long time. There wasn't enough training. the turnover is pretty high for the same reasons mentioned in all the comments. I loved the job, the staff makes the work unbearable.

Don't expect much but a paycheck
The main job function is the supervision of mentally and behaviorally challenged individuals along with other daily assigned tasks. Minimal training, lack of communication, consistency, and little to no care of staff and their concerns make for a stressful and challenging work environment.

STF is a great place to work. The staff there are supportive and friendly. Any job can be stressful at times, but overall this is a great place to work.
