Retail Store Manager (Former Employee) – Watertown, NY – June 2, 2019
They want you to go above and beyond for them, and then when you do, they don't give you anything in return. I worked for the company for 4 years and was treated very poorly when I decided to leave. They overwork you, no recognition for hard work and meeting goals. Pay is minimal with salary based positions working well over 40 hours. Benefits are very expensive. They only thing I loved about my job was my team and fellow store managers.
Sales Supervisor/Key Holder (Former Employee) – Davenport, IA – July 20, 2019
I worked at spencers for some time, i really enjoyed the customers and most of my coworkers but the pay was subpar and there really isn't much advancement passed one position. Scheduling is annoying because even though you only got 16-28 hours it would be spread into 5-6 super short shifts a week. You're generally understaffed and the manager is nice but clearly doesn't care about her job.
