Special Education Teacher (Former Employee) – Springfield, MA – December 27, 2012
A typical day at work started at 7:30am, when we would search our students. I would then have breakfast duty until 8. I would then take my students into our classroom. I had the same students all day for every subject. I taught students with severe learning, social, and emotional disabilities. Every day was different, every student was different. I learned how to be very patient, and very flexible. Most of the co-workers were on the same page and worked toward the same goals. The hardest part of my job was losing students due to crime, drugs or suicide. The most enjoyable part of my job is attending graduation, and seeing students that had the odds stacked against them, graduate.

Chemistry Teacher (Former Employee) – Springfield, MA – June 16, 2018
Stressful at times. We do not get a prep period every day. Discipline is a problem. There is hardly any support from the parents. It seems that more is required from the teachers and less from the students.
