Goal oriented but very easy to work for.
Aftermarket Sales Specialist/Coordinator (Current Employee) –  McKean, PADecember 11, 2018
I would highly recommend this company to anyone. The people and management here are phenomenal. They are very caring, understanding, and educated. Very professional atmosphere without the stuffy attitude that normally goes with office settings. Management is open to involve new ideas into the everyday process, and they go out of their way to let you know how you are preforming. Pay is decent, benefits are really good from what I have seen.
Pros
Benefits, management team, employees, compensation
Cons
Older building

QC Welding Inspector (Former Employee) –  HoustonNovember 21, 2018
If any problem arises management will pass it around until you forget bout it. Pay is decent for someone starting out. They only give 2% yearly. They will fire you if your own minute late and if you put in your two years they tell you to just go home
Pros
Dont have to work the ot if you have

Spx is good to start
CNC Machinist (Former Employee) –  Rochester, NYAugust 3, 2018
To start in spx is a plus, they start you at good pay and pretty good benefits. The shop is very fast paced as they are the global leaders in mixing technology. The management is horrible though, no advancement, tiny raises, and it’s too corporate to make any small time decisions
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Horrible management

QA Technician (Current Employee) –  Goldsboro, NCAugust 1, 2018
Management is really trying to focus on supervisor employee relationship. They have really taken employee concerns and are working to bridge the gap in making them feel important.
Pros
They promote growth within the company.
Cons
All supervisors are not fair.

I have learned alot from working at SPXFLOW. I learned the in and outs of CNC maching , learn to read a blue print and to dispatch jobs for daily work flow. Very fast pace and very demanding place to work. Mangerment changes alot so its hard to get a routine down with everything changing so much. Good pay and vacation and 401k.
Pros
Pay vaction 401k

To much management that's never held accountable. Hourly workers are good to each other. Lay back atmosphere 80% of the time.
Machinist/ millwright (Former Employee) –  Baton Rouge, LAApril 11, 2018
Work on any and every type of pump made. Give you the time to learn the ropes of their process. Have 5 people in management and planning and only 5 millwrights and machinists together. They provide all precision tools but you supply the rest. Management doesn't like you to try new ideas and methods except the lead man. Shop foreman is dumb and not held accountable and neither are planners or Superintendent. Everything is recorded and documented on paper and no computer for floor hands to check time or Benifits!!!!!!! Good place to hone your skills but no room for advancement!!
Pros
Laid back atmosphere and lax on getting to work late and plenty of pto.
Cons
Only one break and 30 minutes for lunch, while always working 10 hour days, Pay is on the low end considering, Baton Rouge is 2nd in the nation, in amount of chemical plants and refineries!!!

A good place to work.
PROJECT MANAGER/CONTRACTS SPECIALIST (Former Employee) –  Delavan, WIMarch 27, 2018
Overall, a good place to work. Like anyplace there were frustrations over things that did not make sense and those that thought it best to further themselves by stepping on others. But for the most part the workforce was competent and collaborative, focused on achieving the goal. Like most other American corporations under-staffing is the norm with everyone having to do three or four jobs.
Pros
Great tools to work with (office and shop)
Cons
The occasional politically-motivated jerk.

Great if your in day shift
WELDER (Former Employee) –  Cypress, TXMarch 24, 2018
I was on night shift at this comoany, and it was alright. The job was fairly easy if you know what your doing. But what i dislike was how the management liked to toy and sling night shift back and forth, while day shift got all the gravy. Whenever day shift was understaff because of the holidays, they brought in night shift to fill in the gaps. When saturday nights needed to be worked by night shift, they expected us to be there after day shift leaves (WHICH ONLY GIVES US ABOUT 6 HOURS OF SLEEP!)

Overall the night manager was very easy to work with, the HR staff however did not seem to be fond of hiring temp workers with the company.
Pros
Sometimes lunch was on the company
Cons
HR does not appreciate their workers

Great place to work - but lack of advancement
SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST (Current Employee) –  Charlotte, NCFebruary 10, 2018
Management and team-members are very friendly and the culture was great. They took great care of the analysts in the rotational program, but after the 2 years of 6-month rotations, there was a lack of opportunity for finance and accounting. The managers are very young and there was a hard time finding roles that would lead to upward mobility in the company. The exposure to different departments and senior leadership was incredible. However, the options to move to other roles and other cities are very limited. The locations that FLOW has to offer are not very glamorous, given that it is a manufacturing company.

Careful who you befrend
Rubber Mold op. (Current Employee) –  Delavan, WIJanuary 13, 2018
Some employees are quick to throw you under the bus. Insurance... ask for a jar of Vaseline as you enroll so it wont hurt as bad when you pay for it. Little by little they are taking away benefits and lower pay to the new hires. Kind of like what a Harley-Davidson did to their employees.
