Store Lead (Current Employee) – 1544 Piedmont Ave NE Atlanta GA 30324 – April 9, 2019
Squeezed is a great company to work for if you are looking to be challenged. They are a young company that is growing rapidly, and with that you never know what opportunities for advancement may arise. One of the main reasons for the rapid growth is the high standard the company upholds, which equates to the challenging aspect of the job. You will need a strong sense of urgency as well as a strong attention to detail if you want to excel in this work environment. With that said, the company is diligent about providing you the tools necessary for success. There is also some heavy lifting from time to time, so the job can be physically demanding, which should be taken into consideration when applying. If you are willing, you will learn many skills that will be valuable for your career in the future.
Squeezed will squeeze the life out of you! Save your time & energy and don't apply!
Store Operator (Former Employee) – Atlanta, GA – February 21, 2019
I was excited when I was offered the position at Squeezed LLC to be the first store operator since it was a new position for the company. The first day I started the store was still under construction. Consequently, I was still expected to perform store operator duties in that condition. As far as day to day task for a store operator is to prepare local and national orders to be shipped out to the customers. In addition, you will be preparing pick up orders for customers to stop by and pick up during the day. Lastly there will be lots of labor: lifting and moving 40-50 pound crates of juice/milk. If you are not in good shape I would not even attempt to apply for this position. Squeezed LLC has taught me to pay closer attention to small businesses and to not put anything past anyone, even your own managers. As far as management , it has been the worst experience I have had at a job in my seven years of working. There is more drama then there is structure with Squeezed LLC. From managers plotting on employees/managers to get them fired to having complete meltdowns at work. Having prior managerial experience allowed me to give advice to the store manger of Squeezed Atlanta since he is/was clueless on how to lead a store/employees. The workplace culture was terrible for majority of the staff because of the stress that management/upper management puts on the Atlanta's store. One of the hardest parts of the job was coming to work knowing that you were doing everything right and still was not being treated/ compensated fairly. My former coworker and I brought to the owner's attentionmore... that we would like a raise based off of our performance/track record and his response was that we were not valuable enough to his company. In my eyes that was a slap in the face because I personally never made one error while working for Squeezed Atlanta. In addition, I created organization and systems because there was not any in place as well as trained the other store operators. So me having a perfect track record and being offered a management position twice within a month is not valuable enough; Im not sure what is. Ultimately, Squeezed LLC does not care about it's employees nor doing what is right. I would urge anyone that is considering this job to just press next and not waste your time or energy with this company.less
Work/Life Balance, No benefits, Short breaks, Poor Management, No structure, Hostile Work Conditions, Physical Labor
The most enjoyable part of the job was going home.
Store Operator (Former Employee) – Atlanta, GA – February 20, 2019
I was first drawn to Squeezed LLC based on the job description that is here on Indeed, little did I know that I was signing up for a lot more than I had bargained for. I was hired at Squeezed LLC when it was still in construction... I also worked at Squeezed LLC when it was still in construction. Squeezed LLC only has a staff of four people. Two managers and two store operators. On a day to day, store operators bag local delivery orders and pack national orders. There is little to no training on how to do deliveries or national orders. There are no real systems or procedures put in place. No structure. No organization. Management is not to be trusted. For a whole month, one of my managers plotted on how to get the other manager fired. Upper management was included in the scheme too. The only reason that the manger who was supposed to get fired still has a job is because news of his termination got back to him through the grapevine and the company was forced to keep him on board. So as you can see the workplace culture is extremely hostile and unprofessional. The hardest part of the job is the physical labor on top of working in a hostile environment everyday. Like I said, the job is very physical so after awhile it is pretty taxing on your body. $10/hr is not enough for the work that is required of a store operator; it's pretty much warehouse type work. My co-worker and I asked the owner for a raise and we were told no because we were not valuable enough to the company. Overall my experience at Squeezed LLC taught me that I need to be more cautious of working for small companies.more... I also learned that I need to start documenting everything because management at Squeezed LLC. is beyond unprofessional.less
