1. Make shelvers permanent instead of temporary part-time. I was a shelver for a few years and was still listed as temporary.

2. Stop sending all of the books off to book sale. There is an entire community of people needing books, why is there such waste in sending off every single book to book sale?

3. Stop showing favoritism to certain branches!

They never hire anyone for one day out of the week. The closest you would get to that is a sub, but I asked a few people and the rumor was that they might be deleting that position if they have not already.

Yes. There was a shelver whom I believe was in his 70s. There are people in positions who are beyond their 60s.

There are branches in multiple locations, but the administration building is downtown. It is across the street from Central Library. Administration is in the same building as Confluence Academy. You can fill out a paper application, but it would be better to fill out the Indeed application online.

The library is a government business so it has the best benefits a business can offer. I lowballed the pay but besides that it was awesome.

1. Patrons. You get great people and you also get people who are absolutely unreasonable
2. Cliques. This can affect whether you receive a position or not.
3. Paper pushing. Sometimes it takes forever to get something so simple fixed such as a new copying machine or some other need.
