Great place to work as long as you love travelling and working long hours
Project Engineer / Data Analyst (Former Employee) – York, PA – August 7, 2018
Its a typical keep-what-you-kill consulting environment with the added bonus of a few genuinely good people to work with (as opposed to other big consulting firms I've seen). If you like living in central PA and don't mind the travel and long hours when a project is understaffed it can be a great place to work. Advancement opportunities can be scarce since most people stay until they retire but hard work is always rewarded. An important caveat is that there are several different teams at St Onge which work on some very different projects therefore team dynamics vary drastically. Some are very easy going and some are very challenging to work with depending on the team's director. Be weary of being a subject matter expert, though it may help with job stability, this may lock you in a niche silo forced to repeat cookie cutter projects over and over again with minimal opportunities for personal growth. It can be a great or poor place to work depending on personal ambitions and geographic living preferences.
