Vascular Access Nurse in Palo Alto, CA

It’s the people that work there that made my experience working here one of the best teams I joined. I could trust my core team that they will have my back.
Clinical Nurse II in Palo Alto, CA
on September 25, 2021
Good place to work overall. Pay is very competitive and there are opportunities for advancement if you want to do something other than being a staff nurse. Patient ratio is 3-4 patients for specialized units and 4-5 patients for med/surg. Management on my floor is pretty good but have heard nurses on other floors have not had such positive experiences. Some staff members have “set” schedules and don’t work weekends or holidays, even though everyone is required to. It’s also hard to get a part time position or time off for holidays, senior nurses with 20+ years will always get those before you.

Great place for opportunity and learning. Working on an AAU, you're constantly busy. It is a lot of work but workplace culture is great because you have support.
Physical Therapy Student in Stanford, CA
on September 7, 2021
As a physical therapy intern at Stanford I was able to gain a comprehensive knowledge of my unit during my 16 week rotation. The staff is friendly and willing to help when needed. I felt very happy going into work every day and would highly suggest working here if you are interested in improving your skills and knowledge.

Health care benefits are good. There are a lot of emails going back and forth about new policies regarding job duties and descriptions but little training. Management is all the same no matter what department you work in. They sugar coat everything and hide things under the rug. I compare them to car salesmen. They will tell you what you want to hear but never follow through. Some managers abuse their power but are still there. Most of the staff are great people to work with.
