Bad pay for unknown hours

One day it would be 17 hours next it would be 4 unstable and quite underpaid for a labor heavy job environment is pretty nice but the jobs for the pay and the advancement in the industry is almost nearly impossible

Pros

Choose lunch break

Cons

Never know how long you work underpaid too

Make sure this is what you want

The pay isn't great and management is terrible. If you know how to clean and sale, you'll make your money. The company doesn't care about you at all. You're just a number to them. They'll find a way to pay you less whenever they get the chance while over-working you. If you're trying to move up in the company, they'll overlook you and choose someone they like instead (even if that person has no interest in moving up). If you choose to work here, make sure you go over pay and how vacation/pto works. They will try to convince you with their corporate terminology that this is the place to be and that they'll take care of you no matter what. All lies.

Pros

Learning new trades, coworkers

Cons

Overworked, micromanaged hours, pay

Horrible place to work

This company is honestly a horrible company to work for. There is no work/home balance, they run your life. The management is horrible, it is like working with middle school drama. Customers are always irate because of the horrible cleanings the receive or over charges on their cards. When you try to call the management team for the customers to speak to them you either can’t get ahold of them or they want nothing to do with handling the issue. Just over all it’s a super unprofessional company. I would recommend staying far away from this company unless you want to be miserable.

Worst management

The company has many flaws but there is potential to make money. Management has no communication skills. This location was nice when I started but has gotten worse. Overall stressful job pays well but it is not worth it you make 15$ per hour + commission most days you will not make any commission and you will get harassed for accepting tips and fired after several warnings

Pros

None

Cons

Drama, poor communication

Good until it wasn’t

I enjoyed my time at Stanley Steemer there isn’t exactly a ton of room for advancement. The biggest problem is management. Other than that it is a great summer job.

Pros

Lots of breaks

Cons

Long hours

Terrible Management and Terrible Company

I worked for stanley steemer in Tempe, AZ and management are a bunch of liars they just tell you what you want to hear. I was promised a driver postion after a month of work and after 6 months of being there i never even took the driver test. I was promised to be an Air duct tech but i would find myself cleaning carpets more times than not. Terrible hours. Workers always in a bad mood. Terrible pay rate. This specific Stanley Steemer is a horrible location in all and if i could give it no stars i would. Wouldn't recommend this job to anyone on earth. 0/10

great employees

Easily can be great money if you can talk with people on daily basis. Hardest part of the job not having a set schedule of knowing when you will get home which then makes it very hard to make life plans except on your days off.

Pros

Great money

Cons

No time to plan life activities

Salespeople

Its a sales job. The more you sell the better treatment you get. The people you work with are pretty great alot of time though. But if you aren't a good salesman it can be a hard job.

Great place to work if you're a driven person and like to control your own paycheck.

This is a great company to work for if you motivated and driven individual. You're out in the field all day so you don't have a boss looking over your shoulder and you control your own paycheck

Pros

There's no cap on the money you can make there.

Cons

You don't have a set time when you get off work.

Not ideal for an adult

It’s a job. Pays well during the busy season, but during the slow season (January-April) It’s almost impossible to pay the bills. Most people quit due to the favoritism, long stressful hours, 6 days a week without breaks, & poor management. Don’t bother working here unless you’re a young adult without bills and responsibilities.

Pros

Busy season pays well

Cons

Management is terrible

You deal with a lot for such little pay

I feel like when working here you deal with a lot for so little pay and don’t even really get any benefits as a part time employee. Left a few months later, could not mentally take it anymore.

Pros

at&t discount

Cons

short breaks

No time for anything else, but Stanley Steemer

6 day work weeks, fluctuating pay due to commission being so up and down. Your valid concerns do not matter to a job such as this. Because, everyone who’s been there longer than five years. Have accept the faith of working for a backwards company, for half decent pay. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GET TRAPPED WORKING FOR THIS COMPANY!!!

Pros

It’s a job that pays

Cons

Literally everything else

No work life balance, pay depending on location

The management at my company was very poor. The owner was very rarely there but when he was it was constant vitriol and disgust. It was advertised in the indeed posting to at least make $600 a week. We were paid minimum wage and would only exceed that if we manage to sell beyond that for the week. It would either be one or the other, minimum wage or that crew of the week sold enough that the crew would make enough based off commissions to be a just barely above minimum wageThe work was therapeutic and that you got to see dirty carpet‘s furniture etc. rapidly become clean take it from me at least the initial product makes a difference. But as far as the cost for it at my location it was $99 for a single room and from there it would go up incrementally to $20 a room plus the accessories which were about 20 or $30 a room I cannot see how it would be worth it for an average consumer.I had in my experience very long hours sometimes I would start normally at 6 AM and get back around five or 6 PM only for minimum wage but my employer would make about 1 1/2 grand a day. This was during peak Covid Turnover was extremely high and seem to prey on people believing the $600 a week and quitting their normal jobs for that pay out to only be making minimum wage Coworkers were fantastic very camaraderie throughout management was terrible and since it is franchised out the issues of payment is solely on the owner of that franchised locationStay far away from the Fort Walton Beach location until they offer a decent per hour wage

Pros

Decent coworkers

Cons

Poor pay. No work life balance

If you want to be a slave work here.

The Job turnover was ridiculous. The long hours in the summer and at the end of the year were a killer. Cant take days off after a holiday or before. Really didn’t have a life outside of work. Got people on there who will tell your business to the manager just to move up. Was told I was getting promoted 3 times just to hear that somebody else who is least qualified taking the position. I could go on

Pros

Money

Cons

Long hours, can’t trust nobody
