Dedication and common sense are a must. Heavy repair is not for everyone. Safety first. Never rush at a job. Every day is a learning experience so don't think that you know it all.

Not a good company to work for, horrible management, not understanding, treats employees unfairly, would highly not recommend. I would pursue anyone to work elsewhere
Modernization/Construction Mechanic in 5 Burroughs and Yonkers

Working in the elevator industry is very uplifting. To be one of the people who provides new Vertical transportation for so many people is very rewarding. Working at Start Elevator is both of these things. Starting work at 7am finishing most days at 3:30, plenty of time to get home and spend with family. Started out as an helper (apprentice), worked my way to mechanic, full benefits, $70k plus benefits. Its not a job, its a career.
Vice President of Sales in Bronx, NY

I have been at Start Elevator for four years and have been an integral part of the growth and success of the business and so have most of the employees here. Start is a growing company that values their employees. They have mechanics that have been here for years. Anyone who cares about the work they do, takes pride in the work they do, can be an employee for as long as they want. The pay is great, the benefits are good and getting better. A great place to forge a career.
