I worked for a great agent for 20 years. I was given a 3 week notice when he retired. When an agent leaves, the staff is pretty much left to take care of everything in the office with an occasional "drop in" visit from a mentor agent. The staff is left with many concerns and questions that NO ONE answers. The clients are upset and left with questions as well because they basically have no agent.
Beware!!!! As the employee you are left not knowing if you will have a job with a new agent. The people above you give you no answers concerning if you will have a job in the end, or, when you will be given any answers about your future. It seems that they need you there for the "day to day" running of the business until they can get a new agent seated. Agents are independent contractors and they hire their own staff. Beware....if you work for an agent, and, he need to be looking for other jobs. Dont let the company string you along until you are no longer needed!!!
