The hours one works depends on the Department that the employee is hired to work with. Sometimes the work involves overtime, which can require a Saturday of full time work. My hours were 8-9 hours daily for five days per week (40-45 hours per week). I also enjoyed my work very much! Retired in 2011 after 17 years with Dept. of Labor.

Hours in Florida are terrible. People don't move to FL to work 12th to 16 hrs a day six days a week. Especially to net 500 dollars weekly which is the norm. Job labor laws? Ridiculous!
