Received an email setting up interview. Prior to interview I had to take an online test that took approx 45 min. Day of interview I was given 30 minutes to write out a response to a scenario (show up to a home due to concern of the environment and mother has left children unattended. Infant in fluffy blanket, marijuana left in reach of toddler.) after answering the three questions I was given the remaining time to read over the competencies they gave in the first email. Very nice the interview was laid out prior to meeting with two supervisors. During the interview they had a sheet in front of me with the questions they were asking!
What advice would you give the CEO of State of Michigan about how to improve it?
I would advise the CEO to listen to the people who are in the field working.
If you were in charge, what would you do to make State of Michigan a better place to work?
Inclusion and diversity would be a priority to make sure individuals are services accordingly.
It took me just over 2 weeks to get a phone call offering me the position. Definitely depends on how fast they push to have a new hire and what job you’re applying for. They can give you a rough estimate during the interview but still can change.
