The interview was ridiculous. Be prepared for them to ask you really dumb questions. None of the interview questions pertain to the position. And do not ask questions they were very upset when I did.

After applying and applying for the same position multiple of times. State website always said the position was filled but would repost the same position. Plus be prepared to interview multiple of times for the same position. I interviewed 4 times for the same position then after the 4th time after weeks and weeks of waiting to hear from them finally got hired. But WOW what a mistake. Was a horrible position. Supervisors are very incompetent. Co workers are very very unprofessional. Bad bad work environment

You need to realize that the state has many different agencies and they are all different. Different environment, different culture, etc. There is no monolithic "state gov't experience" So you can't take one answer and apply it to all agencies. (except for maybe the underpaid responses since state pay is universally lower than private sector pay)
