Certain divisions give the State a bad reputation. Overall, the culture is great and coworkers all get along well together. Stay away from Properties & Facilities (mean coworkers and management) and Real Estate & Planning (unethical, vindictive, two-faced management). If you can avoid those divisions, the culture is great

Flexible. You don't get stuck working the same shifts for months. Of course first shift positions come with senority. First shift 7 to 3 second shift 3 to 11 third shift 11 to 7
