Yes the salary is listed before taxes, but what they don't tell you is that if you were hired after 6/29/15 you will more deductions because you have to pay into retirement.

The response time depends on the county. Certain counties have a different system and are slow to respond. I have waited up to three weeks on a background check while others are returned in a day.

I applied for the social counselor position and the next day I received an email to take the online questionnaire. After I submitted the questionnaire it took them no longer then 48 hours to extend an offer for the face to face interview. They are very quick at responding.
