I applied on 9/18, the job listing didn’t close until 10/2. I was notified the next day or so of my entry into the 1st round survey questions. About a week later, I got an offer for an in-person interview, which I accepted 4 days later (after speaking to my current supervisor).
My interview was on 10/23. I was the last person to be interviewed. I got an offer for a 2nd interview an hour after that, for 10/25 (a Friday). The following Monday, I got a call from the hiring manager (my would-be boss) that they wanted to offer me the job. I accepted. I start in early December.

Overall: about a month from the job application period closing to my getting an offer.

If you would like a job with the State of Tennesee; apply for a corrections officer at BCCX. They will hire anyone over there because of the turnover.
A barrage of people are hired, but very few stay there.

Work environment is very supportive and trains a social worker well. On the other hand, it is highly stressful due to case overload, and time frame to get things accomplished for one worker.
