How long does it take to receive response for a job offer, after the face-to-face interview?
I applied on 9/18, the job listing didn’t close until 10/2. I was notified the next day or so of my entry into the 1st round survey questions. About a week later, I got an offer for an in-person interview, which I accepted 4 days later (after speaking to my current supervisor).
My interview was on 10/23. I was the last person to be interviewed. I got an offer for a 2nd interview an hour after that, for 10/25 (a Friday). The following Monday, I got a call from the hiring manager (my would-be boss) that they wanted to offer me the job. I accepted. I start in early December.
Overall: about a month from the job application period closing to my getting an offer.
I would like to know why it's so hard to be employed by the State of Tennessee . Why is the process so difficult to master.
If you would like a job with the State of Tennesee; apply for a corrections officer at BCCX. They will hire anyone over there because of the turnover.
A barrage of people are hired, but very few stay there.
If you were in charge, what would you do to make State of Tennessee a better place to work?
I would encourage company culture as well as flexible hours for staff members.
Yes the salary is listed before taxes, but what they don't tell you is that if you were hired after 6/29/15 you will more deductions because you have to pay into retirement.
A panel of 3 supervisors. They ask questions based on experience and how will you help familes and colleagues
If I have been placed on the eligibility list, will I get a face to face interview as well?
If you pass the 1st round they will give your name to the hiring manager who will then cjoose you if you meet the criteria.
Work environment is very supportive and trains a social worker well. On the other hand, it is highly stressful due to case overload, and time frame to get things accomplished for one worker.
