EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT in Arlington, VA

Hard work, but you learn a lot.
I supported a very busy executive that made each day an adventure. A general day is filled with drafting contracts and billing profiles for clients, as well as making travel arrangements and setting appointments. I loved the fact that no two days were alike in this face paced environment.

Terrible work environment
While I learned a lot about various clients regulatory and legislative needs, it was a very difficult place to work. Management was poor at best. Unfortunately, Stateside has built a long reputation for taking advantage of their employees.

Stressful and Not worth the pay
This was a very stressful and negative place to work for. The work was alright cause you are reading a lot of different pieces of legislation for different states, but the demands made by managers were unrealistic. No work/life balance. The worst part is that the managers could not keep their word on promises made.
SENIOR LEGISLATIVE ASSOCIATE in Washington, DC
on January 30, 2018
Good place to cut your legislative teeth.
18 hours during session and 6 hour days out of session. Young staff as associates passionate about the same things you are, and a management regime of survivors. Dreadful life, and a deep pocket of lifelong friends. This is the duality of Stateside.
