Office Assistant in Owings Mills, MD

This work place has great work life balance. Management us pretty good abd the environment is inviting. However, the pay may not be the best. It all depends though, on what position you work.

Staff are overall nice, but poor communication among departments causes delays in certain projects, overlap and confusion in responsibilities, and re-inventing the wheel too many times each term. Takes too long to fill vacant positions causing existing staff to be spread too thin.
Adjunct Faculty in Stevenson, MD
on April 25, 2022
SU used to be an amazing place to work but over the past few years, it has become soul-sucking. The Administration is looking to keep the university afloat because of COVID and poor decisions about raising tuition yearly in the past and are investing in making the campus state of the art and paying their faculty very little. They care more about the student experience than the well-being of the faculty and will let you know straight up that you can be replaced in no time so just shut up and do whatever they want. If you are just looking for a paycheck then it's fine but if you care about your students and their education - don't work here.
Assistant Director in Owings Mills

The interview experience left me so excited. Once hired, the atmosphere shifted drastically. There is a constant demand for more from employees and when someone leaves, there are large gaps in filling the position, leaving employees to pick up extra work often and for extended periods.

A really good company for starting out. Pay is not good at all but you do get great PTO and Holidays. The main thing is just low pay and weak benefits, wish there were bonuses or a work from home option.
