FOH Server (Former Employee) – Chatsworth, CA – July 18, 2018
I have co-workers that may disagree but based on my previous job experience Stonefire is one of the best places I have worked. I felt cared for by the managers and other staff members and honestly felt like we were part of a family. I gave them 3 years of my life and I would go back and do it again. This is a GREAT place to get restaurant experience as they will hire people with no experience which is hard to come by! My main reason for leaving was that I recently pierced my nose and I also have dyed hair (non-natural color) and that is against the dress code and I couldn't hide the hair and I grew tired of taking out my nose ring.
Great for teens. Not Great for people trying to make a living.
Trainer/Server and Caterer (Former Employee) – Irvine, CA – July 2, 2018
Management cared to a certain extent. It is a place for people to learn work etiquette and gain experience to move forward. Tips are shared and it is not a "full service" restaurant. Many other restaurants will not consider Stonefire as experience for a server job. However, I made great friendships and learned a lot about people and how to work with them.
Server (Former Employee) – Santa Clarita, CA 91355 – April 26, 2018
Amazing place to work! The co-workers, as well as the managers are like a family, and the work environment is so welcoming! The pay was great for a college student, and I couldn't be more thankful to have the opportunity to work with Stonefire and their staff!
Server/Cashier (Former Employee) – Chatsworth, CA – November 20, 2017
You can't expect that much out of a part time job. However, compensation is low and it is sometimes difficult for them to work with you schedule. Additionally, management is sometimes unorganized and leads to chaos. This balances out with other coworkers that are willing to put in the time to find solutions.
Server (Former Employee) – California – November 8, 2017
It is the perfect place for a junior or senior in high school who has no work experience to start. Great training, friendly environment, and great people! The managers and your fellow coworkers are always there to help you out. No complaints!
Half off meals during breaks or half an hour before or after work
Interactive and quick-paced workplace with friendly workers
Server (Former Employee) – Lakewood, CA – November 6, 2017
Stonefire was a nice place to work at, the coworkers were friendly and the food, which is often discounted, is amazing. Most of the time, customers are welcoming making the job more enjoyable. Although, management was not the best as they do not build relations with their employees.
SERVER (Former Employee) – Valencia, CA – July 27, 2017
It's typical quick paced and a lot of moving around. The managers are really nice and works well with your schedule. It's a fun place to work. Holiday's are really tough days but they are really organized so it usually goes smoothly. The people you work with is the best part of the job.
Good with schedules, nice guest, and friendly coworkers.
No healthcare, long hours without breaks, and can be very stressful.
WAITRESS/HOSTESS (Former Employee) – Lakewood, CA – July 7, 2017
I loved working at Stonefire Grill! The environment was very friendly and family oriented. The people were always energetic and ready to work, including myself. The managers were all so amazing and friendly. I felt comfortable speaking to them about anything. The best part of my job was just showing up and being able to work along side with my coworkers, who were also my friends. The hardest part of my job was taking care of a large party on my own, but i still enjoyed it.
server, ran the meat and salad line, took orders (Former Employee) – Pasadena, CA – May 20, 2017
Working at Stonefire Grill felt like I was a part of a family. Each employee was beyond sweet, we would always hangout with each other outside of work. We were all very close. A regular day of work was definitely fun as long as you had a good attitude about your day.
FOOD SERVER AND BUS RUNNER (Former Employee) – West Hills, CA – April 25, 2017
Management takes advantage of young employees, making them work over 40 hours a week (even when they are 16 years old) and are very strict about productivity. Expectations are very high and you never get off on time.
Team Member (Current Employee) – Thousand Oaks, CA – March 20, 2017
The only reason I ranked the compensation/benefirs and job security/advancement so low was because it was a part time job. The environment made all of the team members feel like family and it was a great experience to be a part of the Stonefire Grill team.
Trainer/Sever/Caterer (Former Employee) – Fountain Valley, CA – March 6, 2017
Work in an excellent environment of people. A lot of the workers there are very young but they do hire a lot of really good, genuine people. A lot of micro-management though, that was one major downside.
