Slow management is horrendous.
lots of people trying to prove themselves very important, but are so busy doing that and get nothing accomplished.
Very low salary for LPN & RN's both ! They pay experienced nurses as though your a brand new grad. You feel unappreciated for your hard work. They would rather pay for advertising.
How long is the interview process? I applied for a job (my dream job, actually) back in July. I reached out to HR a few times. They "love my enthusiasm" and expect to start calling people in a few weeks (it's now October). This is for a non-academic, non-medicine, full time position.
How long is the process?
How many times were you called in?
Any extra detail would be appreciated. This is my dream job so I'm going bonkers. :)
The preparation to get a job at Stony Brook isn't like any other job it takes weeks sometimes months to get hired you go through a lengthy background check & credit check which is unnecessary and costly which wasn't helpful they never did drug testing periodically after the person was hired and they might find that people were taken advantage of the system and maybe would have hired a better staff I find other hospitals such as St Charles and Huntington and St Catherines do a background check but aren't as evasive and it takes half the time to get hired its not like you are getting drafted but it sure feels like it. Well good luck!!
What is Stony Brook University sick leave policy? How many sick days do you get per year?
I don't remember but one get to accumulate your day you don't use
