Management treated me horribly, was paid minimum wage and expected to work every single weekend, Friday-Sunday.
Stop and shop cuts hours too much. And then wonders why all their good workers leave. The pay is the bottom of the barrel so whenever a good worker gets a chance to leave for something better they do.
Alot of people complain that it's really clique and i cant say I disagree. I think the union is falling apart part times lose their benefits meanwhile Stop and shops parent company has no problem acquiring other companies and as a whole is the 2nd biggest food company in the world. I really didn't like that I had to work weekends and holidays meanwhile I'm making only 7 bucks an hour.
I missed out on alot because I worked for this company.
I got in trouble for something that enitirely wasn't my fault lol. They said I would be suspended but I could dispute it at the union's office. Minimum wage wasn't worth going through the headache so I just didn't go back lol.
Abusive bosses, a ridiculously low salary, no appreciation and no room for opportunities towards a career
I left stop and shop due to lack in pay and benefits, poor management, not much career advancement opportunities, and I wanted a change in career paths.
I am still there I just need another job to help my Mom with some of the bills at home. I just wish I can get full- time over at the store.
Because the vender took over
I was fired for being sick during probation
I left because I didn't like the salary i was making with the amount of work I was doing.
