Always harassment
Production Worker (Former Employee) –  Janesville, WIJuly 2, 2019
first walked in and was getting harassed. managers dont care they turn a blind eye. especially if youre a woman in the work place they just let whatever happen happen. Sad place to work. Barely no training disorganized. Trailers are unstable. Welders are right next to you with no guard.

Hard Work
Forklift Operator (Former Employee) –  Brodhead, WIMay 30, 2019
This was a union job that payed well but you worked for it. Long hours and weeks. A typical day would consist of operating a forktruck going around to every machine dumping hoppers all night. The place was dirty, where you would have to take a shower after work. it was a great environment. The only thing that was bad is they only cared for the high seniors out there.

union

Terrible Terrible Terrible
Assembler/Production (Former Employee) –  Evansville, WIMay 29, 2019
Absolutely horrendous. They plant in Evansville Wisconsin is a revolving door of sorts. People are always coming in while others are always going out. It's nothing but war between departments over who made what mistake, and who should fix it. The gossip is almost constant. To put it simply, people just do not care about their job there, and they show it. The entire Evansville plant is one big giant OSHA violation. Wouldn't recommend under ANY circumstances, unless you're absolutely desperate for pay. On the bright side, the hiring process is easy. Just show up sober for the interview, and you're in. You can be drunk on your shift and operate heavy equipment, no one asks questions. Just be sober for the interview.

Amazing Place to Work
Director of Purchasing (Current Employee) –  Stoughton, WIMay 25, 2019
Stoughton Trailers is an amazing place to work!

As the Director of Purchasing I am involved in many aspects of the organization. The work is active, involved and fast paced but extremely rewarding. As a privately held organization we get to know and work with the owners who are approachable and involved. There are many opportunities for dedicated employees to advance and grow professionally as well. The ownership has a deep regard for the employees and their families, as well as the community.

Make no mistake, Stoughton Trailers is the real deal for those individuals ready to roll up their sleeves and contribute to the success of the organization and the team members!

OK place to work if you keep to yourself and out of drama
Assembler/Production (Current Employee) –  Brodhead, WIMay 13, 2019
Drama is worse in this plant than any job I have ever had, which is sad when the comparison is to fast food and theme park jobs held by teenagers. Management is never consistant, but every now and then someone who knows what they're doing comes along for a while. There is constantly a shortage of parts and supplies, which effects our hours. 10 hour shifts are easy to adjust to, only 4 days a week. Sometimes mandatory and voluntary 8 hour overtime shifts on Friday's. 15 minute paid break. 30 minute unpaid lunch. I have been there for 2 years proving myself day in and day out, never having received a single promotion. You might need kneepads if you want to move up here, if you know what I mean...
Pros
Decent starting wages
Cons
Horrible hours, Drama Central, Frequent parts shortages

Machine Operator/Forklift Driver (Former Employee) –  Stoughton, WIFebruary 27, 2019
Everyday I filled out the OPM's on the Punch Press, Brake Press, shear and forklift. I would drive down to Line 1 and see if the line needed more sheets or posts. Then I would look up the punch pattern in the computer and punch thousands of sheets and posts by hand to accustom the lines needs and in between that I would ship parts and take parts to the line. Inventory doesn't do it so they Front walls always asked me or someone from our department

Welder (Former Employee) –  Evansville, WINovember 29, 2018
Poor communication makes it hard to be confident in doing your job. Difficult to advance in your career. Management not the best coworkers can be pretty good though.

It was an ok job out of high school but lacked job security. Way too many layoffs to make a career. Lots of favoritism and not much advancement. Learn to use a lot of tools and equipment

No new equipment, and the boss's boss is never around. Lot's of good people to work with and the 4 x 10 hour weekly schedule with available overtime on Fridays is nice.

Fast paced, cut throat, high turnover business!
Welder/Fabricator (Former Employee) –  Plant 1, Plant 6, Plant 7November 7, 2018
They're original commercial song, reworded to be accurate: We're looking for a few good people, to do what we tell them to do. If social security is what you're looking for, Stoughton Trailers is looking for you! They only care about numbers, not people, and keeping costs down. So, by having a high turnover rate, they keep wages down. My first review was 2,850 characters, and it wouldn't pass review.
Pros
All the grief you could want!
Cons
You have to pay for your own safety gear, minus ear plugs.
