Freedom is given to you as long as you do your work!
Negotiator (Current Employee) –  Buffalo, NYDecember 4, 2018
Everyone has a goal to reach every month, and a reasonable one at that. There are two game rooms that provide the option to play ping-pong, pool, bubble hockey, etc., in addition to massage chairs! As long as you are focused and organized, you will not be stressed out with the goal and will have lots of fun at this office! The people are overwhelmingly nice and management does a lot for the employees.

Amazing Company
Sales Manager (Current Employee) –  New York, NYNovember 15, 2018
Strategic is the best company I have ever worked for. Anyone who has anything negative to say about this company either does not work hard or has never worked at another company to appreciate Strategic. Management is always helpful and good work is always recognized on every level. The job is not hard, I do sales and I have found that people that work hard typically see good results but sales is not for everyone. If you are not looking to work your hardest this is not the company for you. The culture is amazing at Strategic, it seems like every day of the week there is a cool event: cupcake Tuesdays< Wellness Wednesdays, etc. This company is a 10!
Pros
The culture, recognition, the pay!
Cons
You have to work hard (if thats a con)

Fun and engaging
Client Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Williamsville, NYNovember 11, 2018
They have great work culture . There is always something going on from scavenger hunts to pot lucks and work challenges . they definitely keep you on your toes and really perks up the day . There is always an opportunity to make more money or win some type of prize. Although recently there has been an increase in responsibilities yet no increase in the time alluded to complete these new tasks nor is there a pay compensation for the extra work. Overall one of the best places I've worked
Cons
there is a lot of pressure to meet goals that are really unachieveable

Solid management team who cares about their staff and employees
SVP, Application Developer (Current Employee) –  New York, NYNovember 9, 2018
This is one of the few companies I have worked for where the management team sincerely cares about its employees and customers. The company has great core values and they are constantly socialized among the employees. The company is fast growing and the leadership is active, intentional and methodical management practice.
Pros
Great leadership and core values
Cons
Fast growth can cause some growing pains

Fun employee environment with limited job security
Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  New York, NYNovember 5, 2018
It is a great opportunity for strict sales training and to test your skills with cold calling and reaching out to potential clients. However, there is no job security here unless you are meeting your numbers which have now become unrealistic on the sales floor. Difficult to build up a pipeline and when you take a vacation day, leads bounce and your pipeline is empty. You are a number on a board, very limited growth and the hours are very stressful at this company.
Pros
free breakfast, sales training
Cons
barely any vacation days, long hours, repetitive work, limited growth

Litigation Support (Current Employee) –  New York, NYOctober 30, 2018
This place drains the life out of you if you are not apart of the in- crowd you are treated horribly. You don't get sick time or vacation time and you get about 5 PTO days for the year. God forbid you live outside of NYC and you have a snow day, you better get to work. If you don't care about people or yourself. Work there.

Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Manhattan, NYOctober 23, 2018
Required to arrive at 10am and stay til at least 8pm Monday-Thursday and 6pm on Friday. Issue? This equals to more than 40 hours. You weren’t allowed overtime so you were required to take extended breaks during the shift to remain at 40 or less. Not to mention the encouraged 9pm club or Saturday’s, thus requiring longer breaks during the day. Good luck maintaining a life outside of this job.
Pros
Good Pay
Cons
Hours, Quotas, Deceptive Sales Practices, Blait and Switch.

Business Model Is Flawed
Litigation Support Specialist (Former Employee) –  New York, NYOctober 11, 2018
It was a great place to work in the beginning, but soon I felt as if I was lying to clients because nothing was being done for them. Management was young and not bright. It's definitely a revolving door. This job is not worth the stress and the pay was something to laugh at.
Pros
Free breakfast, bonus opportunities
Cons
Needs better management, better business model, pay

Amazing Culture that Makes Work Fun
Financial Consultant (Current Employee) –  New York CityOctober 8, 2018
People leave companies because of their management and ownership, I stay at Strategic because of ours. They care about me and all of the friends I have made here. The employee ownership is amazing. I got $26,000 of shares in the first year alone. It’s a work hard environment where you can help people and make a ton of money which fits me perfectly.
Pros
Culture. Employee Ownership. Compensation. People. Leadership. Vegas!
Cons
I am looking forward to the new technology that’s coming . the leadership development opportunities.

Don't work here
Litigation Support Representative (Former Employee) –  New York, NYOctober 3, 2018
You will hate your life the second you start working here. If you are not in sales they treat their employees like they are nothing. This whole company is a scam as the sales reps lie to clients to get them enrolled and the servicing departments are short staffed and so new that no one has any idea what they are doing. The litigation department is a sinking ship when all of the clients end up being sued. The staffing turnaround is so high there is less than 50 employees who have been with the company for over a year. This place sucks the life out of you and if you show up 1 minute past your scheduled shift you can get a write up and/or terminated. its easy to get a job here because they are so desperate because people keep leaving. They think in office happy hours with cheap wine and beer is enough to get people to stay. They just fired most of the litigation support department and the only people who had any clue on how to get things done. I feel bad for the people who still work there since they have no time to go and get another job because this place won't let you take an unpaid day and only allow 10 days of PTO with no sick days.
Pros
No drug tests
Cons
No sick days, no grace period for being late, incompetent managers

Nice stepping stone for collage grads
Customer Service Representative/Call Center (Former Employee) –  New York, NYSeptember 18, 2018
the employees here are like family, the managers attempt a great deal to boost moral but always miss the target. A lot of favoritism happens here and this means if a posting for a better position comes up they will interview you just to give the position to someone that has less on the job and customer service experience as you just because the manager is friends with a Lead and if that lead's CSR applies (happened 3 times while i was there) . And do not work the closing shift because at random there will be a "Town Hall" meeting that starts around 9 or 10am and it is "mandatory" to attend just to hear how much money the company has made..but then to hear "we have a budget" when you ask to be compensated for the overload of work you've been doing also this place is considered to be racist toward minorities. (example people were hired at or about $14 per hour then the company started taking collage grads with no previous experience and offered them up to $17-$18 per hour starting!!. A CSR that was African American produced a collage degree and asked to have their salary re-evaluated and the response was focus on yourself and not others.
Pros
Company has a bonus program at the end of each month
Cons
management encourages drinking at company site with a "Happy Hour" every quater

Awesome first job out of college, you get what you put in
Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  New York, NYSeptember 14, 2018
Strategic equips you with what you need to succeed in this position but it is ultimately up to you since it is a sales role and your internal drive is critical. Fun people, fun office, has a work hard play hard feel and you are rewarded financially if you do well. Definitely worth coming in for an interview if you are interested.
Pros
Happy Hours, Flexible Hours, Fun People
Cons
Hours not for everyone, on the phone a high amount

Great culture, good management
Manhattan - Inside Sales Executive (Former Employee) –  New York, NYSeptember 6, 2018
The company itself is a great place to work. Great management, great people, great culture. The hours are the only downside in my opinion. Have to be there at 10, leave at 8pm. You have the choice of when to take your break, and are able to take extended breaks, but it wasn't worth it for me personally.

People are great, Company is Questionable
Client Services Representative (Current Employee) –  New York, NYSeptember 4, 2018
They are currently undergoing a 'transitional' phase - wherein they have added 3-5x as many sales reps as support staff and as a result the support staff is significantly behind, so both the employees and the clients are losing out. That being said, the managers are all great people but it does not take away from the berating you must endure from clients on a daily basis.

Amazing strong company
Senior Financial Consultant (Current Employee) –  Midtown New York, NYAugust 27, 2018
Been with strategic for over 2 years now. Extremely engaging, fast past, tele-sales company. The management team really caters to rep growth and education. Even though we have become a larger firm the last couple years, exec's and higherups still make it apparent to keep the company culture close and family feeling.

The hardest part of the job is, tele-sales is not for everyone, and alot of people dont have the mindset to sit and talk on the phone for 4-6 hours a day. Eventhough ive been here for 2.5 Years - I sometimes feel a little burnt. Ways I get around it is vacationing twice a year, maintaining a strong work-life balance and focusing on all the positive this high$$$reward company has provided me.

You work around some extremely fun and influencial people. It's also right in midtown manhattan, best location for a financial sales type job.
