Litigation Support Specialist (Former Employee) –  New York, NYOctober 11, 2018
It was a great place to work in the beginning, but soon I felt as if I was lying to clients because nothing was being done for them. Management was young and not bright. It's definitely a revolving door. This job is not worth the stress and the pay was something to laugh at.
Pros
Free breakfast, bonus opportunities
Cons
Needs better management, better business model, pay

Amazing Culture that Makes Work Fun
Financial Consultant (Current Employee) –  New York CityOctober 8, 2018
People leave companies because of their management and ownership, I stay at Strategic because of ours. They care about me and all of the friends I have made here. The employee ownership is amazing. I got $26,000 of shares in the first year alone. It’s a work hard environment where you can help people and make a ton of money which fits me perfectly.
Pros
Culture. Employee Ownership. Compensation. People. Leadership. Vegas!
Cons
I am looking forward to the new technology that’s coming . the leadership development opportunities.

Don't work here
Litigation Support Representative (Former Employee) –  New York, NYOctober 3, 2018
You will hate your life the second you start working here. If you are not in sales they treat their employees like they are nothing. This whole company is a scam as the sales reps lie to clients to get them enrolled and the servicing departments are short staffed and so new that no one has any idea what they are doing. The litigation department is a sinking ship when all of the clients end up being sued. The staffing turnaround is so high there is less than 50 employees who have been with the company for over a year. This place sucks the life out of you and if you show up 1 minute past your scheduled shift you can get a write up and/or terminated. its easy to get a job here because they are so desperate because people keep leaving. They think in office happy hours with cheap wine and beer is enough to get people to stay. They just fired most of the litigation support department and the only people who had any clue on how to get things done. I feel bad for the people who still work there since they have no time to go and get another job because this place won't let you take an unpaid day and only allow 10 days of PTO with no sick days.
Pros
No drug tests
Cons
No sick days, no grace period for being late, incompetent managers

Nice stepping stone for collage grads
Customer Service Representative/Call Center (Former Employee) –  New York, NYSeptember 18, 2018
the employees here are like family, the managers attempt a great deal to boost moral but always miss the target. A lot of favoritism happens here and this means if a posting for a better position comes up they will interview you just to give the position to someone that has less on the job and customer service experience as you just because the manager is friends with a Lead and if that lead's CSR applies (happened 3 times while i was there) . And do not work the closing shift because at random there will be a "Town Hall" meeting that starts around 9 or 10am and it is "mandatory" to attend just to hear how much money the company has made..but then to hear "we have a budget" when you ask to be compensated for the overload of work you've been doing also this place is considered to be racist toward minorities. (example people were hired at or about $14 per hour then the company started taking collage grads with no previous experience and offered them up to $17-$18 per hour starting!!. A CSR that was African American produced a collage degree and asked to have their salary re-evaluated and the response was focus on yourself and not others.
Pros
Company has a bonus program at the end of each month
Cons
management encourages drinking at company site with a "Happy Hour" every quater

Strategic equips you with what you need to succeed in this position but it is ultimately up to you since it is a sales role and your internal drive is critical. Fun people, fun office, has a work hard play hard feel and you are rewarded financially if you do well. Definitely worth coming in for an interview if you are interested.
Pros
Happy Hours, Flexible Hours, Fun People
Cons

People are great, Company is Questionable
Client Services Representative (Current Employee) –  New York, NYSeptember 4, 2018
They are currently undergoing a 'transitional' phase - wherein they have added 3-5x as many sales reps as support staff and as a result the support staff is significantly behind, so both the employees and the clients are losing out. That being said, the managers are all great people but it does not take away from the berating you must endure from clients on a daily basis.

Amazing strong company
Senior Financial Consultant (Current Employee) –  Midtown New York, NYAugust 27, 2018
Been with strategic for over 2 years now. Extremely engaging, fast past, tele-sales company. The management team really caters to rep growth and education. Even though we have become a larger firm the last couple years, exec's and higherups still make it apparent to keep the company culture close and family feeling.

The hardest part of the job is, tele-sales is not for everyone, and alot of people dont have the mindset to sit and talk on the phone for 4-6 hours a day. Eventhough ive been here for 2.5 Years - I sometimes feel a little burnt. Ways I get around it is vacationing twice a year, maintaining a strong work-life balance and focusing on all the positive this high$$$reward company has provided me.

You work around some extremely fun and influencial people. It's also right in midtown manhattan, best location for a financial sales type job.

Incredible place to work
Sales Production Manager (Current Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 13, 2018
I've never had a better job nor worked at a better place. The company cultural is unmatched, the leadership from the CEO, President, Sr. VP of HR on down is hands on with an open door policy.Compensation/benefits are good with on-going Spiffs/contestants to offer additional opportunities to make more income.
The sales floor is a friendly/competitive atmosphere were everyone looks out for one another and we all work together as a team.

The company continues to grow and with that offers more opportunity .

Amazing place to work
Associate Sales Manager (Current Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 9, 2018
Strategic has been growing tremendously over the last several years, giving employees a lot of room for advancement and growth. The atmosphere and culture here is unrivaled and truly makes you want to come to work in the morning. Every manager is approachable, looking to help you succeed, and there is little to no micro management. It is sales so of course there is competition and could be stressful at times, but if you are looking to get into financial sales, that should be expected. The compensation opportunity makes it all worth it, as the commission structure is great. Strategic is a great place to get your foot in the door of a sales career and will develop your sales skills considerably.
Pros
happy hours, lunches, gym discounts, flexible schedule, 401k, health insurance, Esop, paid vacation days
Cons
long hours, competitive

Pros

Great place to work, Amazing People and Management, Awesome Opportunities, Needs small improvements internally
Financial Consultant (Current Employee) –  Midtown New York, NYAugust 8, 2018
I do like where the company is going. Great culture, no micro managing, warm leads, tough sell but reasonable. There are a lot of hard workers here and i don't' like the fact that how much you make here is contingent on how much you can outsell everyone else as opposed to your overall production. The management staff is excellent. Always there to help and make you better. I love the people here, the atmosphere, you feel like you're part of a team that sees the big picture and everyone is working together to accomplish an overall goal. The hardest part about this job is learning to be patient and not take things personal because of the selling process. In addition the working hours takes some time to get accustomed to.
Pros
free lunch sometimes, excellent management, excellent training, amazing work ethic
Cons
healthcare, salary consistency, fluctuation of jumping up and down from lead groups, not much else

Awesome company, Bright future, Some growing pains, but Amazing Culture
Sales (Current Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 8, 2018
This company has a bright future. Exponential growth just in the last few months with no sign of slowing... ESOP (look it up if you don't know). Great leads for the sales reps. AMAZING CULTURE I cannot stress that enough. Managers don't micro manage you unless your job is on the line (and in that rare case it's only to help you).
Pros
Bonuses, Culture, Lunches, Happy hours, Comradarie Trips, Give aways, spiffs, Raffles, Dinners, Break room
Cons
Health insurance is a little expensive, bathrooms could be nicer.

Challenging and collaborative role with tons of support from management. Only con is just the overall nature of a sales role, working hard and sometimes unfavorable daily hours, but breaks are aplenty to counteract.

Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  Manhattan, NYAugust 6, 2018
Strategic is a very fun place to work while also being a professional place to work. The management here is very uplifting and supportive, I have yet to have a manager that has not been 100% helpful and kind to me. This is absolutely the best company I've ever had the pleasure of working for.

Competitive and Balanced Culture
Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  Manhattan, NYAugust 6, 2018
At SFS you are your own manager (to an extent) in the sense that, as long as you perform to their expectations, you make your own schedule and are allowed plenty of freedom. With that said, you must be diligent in your work as it is easy to get sidetracked by the freedom, which creates vulnerability in your position. As long as you put aside enough work time and don't mind the hours (10am-8pm most days) you will find the culture, people and overall environment at Strategic to be amazing. The hours aren't bad either as long as you don't mind getting home a little late, you also get to sleep in later than most full-time employees.
