Fun place to work and a great opportunity
Carrier Procurement Representative (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXApril 7, 2018
I probably would have still been there if I had not coincidentally inherited quite a tremendous amount of stress from all directions. When it rains it pours I guess. Since moved on from all the problems so it was actually needed.
Pros
catered lunches from time to time. Lots of fun things offered to us.
Cons
Work can be redundant and stressfull. Management plays favorites

Young company, and great training program. Company is looking to grow but very little job growth in the company. No promotions or raises in the company. Great office culture and co worker

Sales (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXJanuary 15, 2018
You get out what you put in (almost). Work hard play hard. Startup feel. Frat/ bro atmosphere. Confusing commission plan that needs some work. Great culture and some great managers.

High turnover, burn and turn through employees. They need to put more of a focus on employee retention and realize the true value of their employee base.
Pros

This company has its pros and cons. People love it here since the office itself is very inclusive and friendly. Wish more people stuck around to experience full culture.

Wonderful workplace that is incredibly supportive. All managers were easily accessible and helpful with any problem. Fun and enjoyable workplace.
Sales Procurement Intern (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILMarch 20, 2016
As an intern I did a number of cold calls on a daily basis. I also organized and updated a number of their contacts in their system while making sales at the same time. I learned how to work well under pressure, make a strong sell and problem solve more efficiently. The hardest part of the job was the mundane day to day tasks as an intern of cleaning out the system and making continuous cold calls for many hours of certain days. The best part of my job was the work environment as well as coworkers.
Pros
Work community, happy hours, access to management.
Cons
repetitive mundane tasks.

Carrier Sales (Current Employee) –  Chicago, ILJuly 21, 2015
Solid culture and great training by talented individuals. The only downside is the lack of abstract thought by upper management. If you want to climb a tree you should hire squirrels and not horses.
Pros
Great people
Cons
Upper management gets in the way more than they help...

Corporate headquarters is in Chicago Illinois, there's too much disconnect between your direct manager and corporate managers.

Carrier Procurement  (Current Employee) –  Chicago, IL June 25, 2013
Great place to learn the in's and out's of the transportation industry. Along with learning about the complicated world of transportation you also get to learn great sales strategies that are useful everywhere you go.

I completely enjoyed my time here and I am very sad to leave.
Pros
people are absolutely great.
Cons
advancement is a little limited
