Regional Director Testimony
I didn't choose Success Virtual Learning Centers of Michigan, it chose me. I was at a crossroad with my career. My job was "eliminated" after 10.5 years at a competitor that was an educational service provider for other districts in the State of Michigan. In my search for a new job, I reached out to the former owner of Success to see if there were any openings in my area. Unfortunately there weren't and wouldn't be for another 2 years. I worked other jobs to make ends meet. Almost 2 years to the day I received a call with the news, "Success Virtual Learning Centers of Michigan wanted me!" That was one of the best days of my life and I am thankful everyday for the opportunity to serve young adults that deserve the same chance I did; A new beginning.

I chose to work with SVLCM because of the opportunity to positively impact students. I appreciated the blended setting, which allowed time for working with students one-on-one and in small groups to build meaningful connections and assist with content understanding. As a program that relies heavily on technology, leadership embraces innovation and encourages staff members to be creative and explore tools and resources that can be used to support our students.
