SunTrust invested in all of their employees for advancement and success. Working with your team ensured you always had a safety net to fall back on for answers.
Purchase Review in Richmond, VA

I enjoyed working there and learning about the mortgage industry. The managers seemed a bit condescending and more concerned with themselves and their bottom line.
Teller in Virginia Beach, VA
on November 19, 2021
Being a teller can be an easy job with the right training but I definitely did not receive all the training I needed to do the job properly. Only a week of training, learning how to do the most common/basic transactions. After being put on the floor with customers I realized there was so much I still did not know how to do. Fridays are the long days, 10 hours. You get one 30 min lunch over that 10 hour day. Not enough when you’re working with impatient and rude customers on pay days. Also, the bank managers can use more training on what it means to actually be a manager and should also know how to work all positions in case the one teller working is overwhelmed with customers. Would never work in a bank again after working with SunTrust. Also, the computer systems when I worked there were 20 years old.
