Work on the work environment.

Flexible hours

Take the employee's well being at heart.

After working full time for five years supervisors have a tendency to get rid of employees that are close to retirement age.

Do not allow management to talk down to lower grade employees. Always daily, while Upper Management allowed it over and over and over. To the point the employee gets seriously ill. Salary is not upgraded according to company pay grade.
