Children's Center Teacher/Director in Children's Center/ Daycare

This is a great place to work. The pay is not the best but the benefits are great. health benefits, paid time off, paid vacation days and holidays. It is nice that this is offered to the teachers as well.Co-workers are helpful and management is available if needed.Questions are answered in a timely manner. The workers are like a family here and are eager to step in whenever help is needed. The hardest part of the job is that it can be stressful managing employees, Budgeting, and working with parents' changing schedules. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with the children in all the classrooms.

It was a very rewarding assignment to teach Practical Mathematics 101 to inmates in Shawangunk. I love the opportunity for them to learn Logic, Probability, Statistics and apply the knowledge to a College Degree. I find the job very rewarding.

I think that that one of the keys to a happy and productive work environment is a supportive and effective supervisor. I can't say enough about my supervisor at SUNY Ulster. She is supportive and gives you all the tools to be successful. I can't ask for a better workplace.

Fun place to work for the most part. Low stress environment when communication ACTUALLY happens. Management could be better sometimes. Many people have left this place recently because the center doesn't have benefits besides health insurance and everyone is poorly paid. Some people who have been there for years barely make over minimum wage and there's no room for growth. It's an ok job to use as a stepping stone or to get some experience on your resume, but not a good long term job at all.
Mathematics Adjunct Professor in Stone Ridge, NY

Teaching at Ulster County Community College was a great experience. The staff are very willing to help and professional. There was always someone to go to for support. The buildings are clean. The students were very attentive and eager to learn.
