Be careful - not permanent employment
Project Engineer (Former Employee) –  Seabrook, NHNovember 6, 2018
Feels as though employees are hired out to clients as another warm body rather than any sort of automation expert. My contract was open ended to the point the client could, and did require me to do anything they wanted regardless of what it related to. When the work is done, the employee is dropped without reason or question. Promise of there always being work and continuous training is a colorful deception.
Pros
Nice people, relaxed environment, flexible hours
Cons
Zero training other than bare minimum for safety, no interest in improvement, employees are (quickly) expendable

Seeking employment from Superior Controls should be avoided at all costs. Management is racist and highly degrading. Compensation is below national average and benefits are nonexistent. In addition to the horrible compensation, the office space is filthy. Absolutely the worst automation company in the industry.

An interesting place to work
Project Engineer (Current Employee) –  Raleigh, NCAugust 25, 2012
A typical day for a Project Engineer could range from sitting at your desk all day, to being in the shop building the actual product all day. I learned a lot about designing for easy manufacturing from hands on experience with both manufacturing and design. I also work on a team to design the fluid power systems (hydraulics, lubrication) and power transmission systems (gear boxes, couplings, etc.). The people I work with are great and we all get along fine. Its a good balance. The hardest part of the job is trying to get upper management to buy into an improvement sometimes. The most enjoyable part is working with a team of really smart people.
