Facilities Technician (Current Employee) –  Santa Ana, CAMarch 5, 2017
The Superior Court is a great place to work.. But for Facilities Technicians there is no room to advance, The managers have no idea how to do a facilities technician job and this job is micromanaged from the state level.
Pros
benefits, retirment and 14 paid holidays
Cons
micromanaged and no position to advance to.

Court Clerk (Former Employee) –  Santa Ana, CAJuly 1, 2015
Learned to adapt to various personalities.

My co-workers for the most part were like family.

The most enjoyable part of the job was working with a variety of people and observe how their job duties intertwined with Court.

Meaningful and rewarding work for a progressive government employer
Management (Current Employee) –  Santa Ana, CAJanuary 27, 2014
I have worked for the Court for about 15 years. It's big enough (about 1500 employees with several locations in OC) that there is opportunity to move around and keep learning. It's small enough that you don't worry about getting transferred to North Dakota. Very progressive in the IT department so good place for IT professionals and other employees are able to keep up with technology advances.
Pros
Meaningful work supporting one of the great American institutions: the justice system, lots of smart people committed to doing the right thing and doing things right.
Cons
Ongoing budget cuts have taken their toll, just like any workplace, the department you work in and who you work for and with can make a world of difference.

Great summer internship.Had a great time working with my Judge. Worked on interesting cases in different areas of the law. I highly recommend this type of job as a summer job for a law student.
