I would like to focus on what I learned. I think I answered everything else in my rating chart and my pros and cons.
I learned how to handle high levels of stress, and ridiculous multi-tasking. It as a very popular restaurant with long waits. There was a BYOB policy. Seating had to be seamless as the place didn't have much of a waiting area, so people gave their #'s and I called them as seating was getting close. The timing was crucial. I opened the wine for the people who chose to stay, got them snacks, and also handled take-outs.
I learned how to sooth difficult, fussy people. I learned how to handle inappropriate people and situations.
It was all challenging and a lot of fun.
S. Basil was about excellent food, excellent customer service, congenial employee environment, good pay, free meals.
Hours of standing, no paid holidays or vacations but typical for the industry
