A recruiter will call you and set you up to what you need to do to get on-board. First you must put in a application to get a recruiter. For first timers it would be best to go to MVR and get your cdl permit. Must have one before you can train.
A Swift recruiter came out to the Truck Driving School I was attending, and he made his pitch to the whole class. I filled out an application that he provided for anyone who wanted one. I received a letter (e-mail?) letting me know that they would hire me when I was ready. I called the recruiter I was told to, and I was notified of when I could attend orientation.
