I liked Symetra as a company. Their core values are on point. As with anywhere, there are a few bad managers that are not accountable for their mistakes. They are not willing to apologize for their errors, instead make excuses. They will contribute to the down fall of the company. If the higher ups would remove some of the bad apple managers and maybe provide more training for them, it would benefit the company. Many of the managers did not even know how to process a claim, release the checks or know the basics which caused delays and poor customer service. If you talked to HR, she would only reply she did not know the claim process and was useless. They we're losing clients in the beginning of the year due to poor customer service. Usually it was manager errors. This is the Enfield office in CT. They should promote the good case managers maybe instead of hiring managers off the street that are clueless to what they are doing. The Operations Manager as well.
