Fun work place

Fun work place, always having events. Really care about employees and benefits are amazing. Even threw me a baby shower! Benefits start day one and weekly pay.

High turnover, don't be fooled!

January 2022 bad place to work for the average wage worker. People quit everday. If you have it in you to be taken to the limit of your mental health go on and do it. But if you are optimistic overall about life and people then, don't do this kind work! It will ruin you. I used to be great at customer service 10 years in hospitality, I thought I saw it all but get folks on the phone and you realize how messed up the world really is. The managers here don't care what you go through only that you stay plugged in and on the phone. It's unfortunate how many people have left here and needed therapy just from this job alone. It is a rubbish job and employees should not be required to work 8hours a day in this function. Very mentally and emotionally drianing. Enter at your own risk.

No mental health support, Heavy work load, Several ways to become ineligible for raises and bonuses, Diverse and Inclusive but only on paper not an actual practice, Many have quit already

Great place to work

Friendly environment, great management and great coworkers to work with, you get all the help and knowledge you need to learn your job and well! The company and management appreciate your hard work! Alit of incentives, prizes and promote from within.

Pros and Cons

It's a good stop gap when you're trying to get a better job, but the job itself is nothing amazing. There are good benefits (time off, healthcare, etc.) but you have to jump through hoops to excel with an increasing number of obligations and standards that change every few months. It's pretty much a generic call center, but the customers vary from very nasty to faux sweet depending on your dept (generic customer service is the worse of course). There are other call centers who will pay you more, give bigger bonuses, have more job security and less stress. Also, you can only advance in the company if you have prior experience. You'll never move into management without having been a manager somewhere else before. They make you think you will, and expect you to be a part various side programs that make the company look good to outsiders, but they will rarely (almost never) promote you without previous outside experience.

Great place to work/ flexible schedule/ tuition reimbursement/ option to work from home/ Company offer great pay and plenty opportunity for growth. Training was very thorough.

The company had good benefits and paid weekly. Flexible scheduling and you could swap schedules. Open door policy and able to voice your concerns without retaliation

Great place to work

Great company, and great benefits. They care about everyone. When they talk about diversity and inclusion, they mean it. They welcome all people and encourage participation in all of their affinity groups.

Everything you need to know

When they say full time, it's full time if you have less then 40hrs a week you maybe in trouble. They started providing PTO a year ago, prior to that you had sick time that you used and if you used too much you could get fired. If you work 10hr shifts you get the same amount of pto, vacation and holidays times so that means you don't get as many days as an 8hr shift person so you really have to manage your time. The call volume it through the roof most of the time but its expected. If you work in fraud expect to get cursed out on a daily but each call is a new call so it gets better. The benefits are amazing, the people are amazing, the diversity is great, when we were at the site we always had things to do but working virtually kind of made it a bummer. I love the company it may not sound like it but they do treat their associates great. Working from home you may have a lot of systems issues and they will blame you for most of it.

No work life balance

This job offers no work life balance. The schedules are terrible and on top of that you work holidays unless you use your time off. They give you scheduled breaks but then are picky if you take them late because youre stuck on a call. Barely any help when you need it once youre out of training. Customers are pretty rude.

Great benefits/ decent pay

The down fall is that you have to bid for your work schedule every year. The company does not go by seniority. The bid goes by your metrics ( numbers). Each year all names are put in a pot and randomly drawn for your bid rank. Someone who has been working 6 months making the same numbers as you can end up with a better shift if their name is pulled first, Because the company does not factor seniority with schedule bid. It is not a fair bidding process! Company only offers 5 m-f schedules each year . Most schedules are 2 days off and hardly ever back to back.

Work-life balanceThey do not care about you having a personal life it’s all about meeting service levels and business needs you literally feel like a hostage to you job and when you have to choose between your mental health and your job that’s when you know there is a problemPay & benefitsYou cannot take vacation time unless time is available on there business calendar if you run out of pto you cannot take days off because their belief is no unpaid time so if u call off you will face a corrective actionManagementSome really care some want to just look goodOverallSynchrony did me dirty gave 4yrs of service for them to show just how ugly they are especially during a pandemic no flexibility no accommodation for parents no regards to the workload and mental health just overall disappointing

Great people i love that they havr great growth potential and they value there employees. After 3 to 6 months you can get a promotion and they have great monthly incentives

For the most part a really great company

For the most part this is a really great company. Work/life balance not always where I’d like it to be but the company is unusually and genuinely supportive of diversity. The CEO seems to genuinely want to do right by all. They constantly seek to improve their employees work experience. Not perfect but after coming from a big bank, the atmosphere is a welcome change. Advancement is slow.

Compromise

Synchrony is a great place to work for most young people. The work life balance approach works well for the younger generation. For a worker of my age, they basically rolled over me and pushed me out.

On a daily basis I answer incoming calls in regards to credit card applications. Also I assist customers with any fraud that occurs on their credit cards.
