Very cutthroat environment
Field Technician (Former Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKNovember 1, 2018
You start your day with jobs having been dispatched to you, you go to the shop to find out that they do not have all of the equipment you need and they tell you that you have to drive to the customers home for free only to tell them you can’t do the job. Halfway through the day you will be given more jobs without anyone telling you about them. No paid training, the training is literally just riding with another contractor that has been forced to take you along with him for free. The company will only provide some of the things you need to complete a job- satellite, receivers, remotes, and cords- you will provide every other item you need including cable, fittings, wallplates, etc, all of which is a requirement to complete any job. The supervisors will not assist in anything other than words, the company gets about 75% of what you make on a job. You will be forced to travel sometimes 100+ miles and you will be treated like an employee and a contractor, whichever one is more convenient for the company at the time. If you complain at all or bring up the fact that many of the things they do are illegal then you will not be given work until you have learned your lesson. Incredibly toxic environment, you will not get paid for half of the work you do or it will get charged back to you-whichever works best for the company but hey, you can say you have a job.
Pros
You have a job
Cons
Forced to “volunteer” on holidays

Technician (Former Employee) –  Biloxi, MSAugust 5, 2018
Horrible management.
Have to spend $50 to make to make $100, so you only made $50....should have just stayed home!
You have to drive all over the gulf coast on your own dime...they don’t pay for gas.
You have to track down other techs to get supplies you should already have.
I could go on, but in short.....the company sucks and is full of lies.

DirecTV Installer (Current Employee) –  Marion, IAApril 7, 2018
This job depends on the management and that can vary every day. There are slow times of the year and that will reflect on your paycheck. Start up costs will be substantial if you do not already have the equipment necessary. Monthly equipment orders come out of your pocket as well as gas to drive your own vehicle. You'll have to rely on your work mates to get equipment, if you don't have the correct boxes to install if management is unwilling to deliver them to you.
Pros
No taxes
Cons
Costs out of pocket

Installer/Technician (Former Employee) –  Tupelo, MSJanuary 22, 2018
Place is riddled with incompetence. 5 installs and 6 hours of drive time is impossible. Took money out of my check for supplies i never received to the tune of $380. I was told to collect my money from the employee who received the supplies? Then they kept my last week's check. This is one of those really bad satellite companies that deserves nothing less than bankruptcy.
