Working for Synergy was great as long as you don't get promoted to management. Typically if you perform they will leave you alone. Just be aware at the end of the contract they typical gut the staff

From a management perspective Synergy is a nightmare. No dedicated back office support, long hours making up for it, and Executive Leadership that second guesses everything. Ending in endless meetings

Not worth the drive

Cut throat management, 20% less pay from previous contract doing same job plus added more responsibilities, poor benefits that cost more than previous contract. Environment is sobering and not a family atmosphere as before.

Small, but growing company

Great place to work with great benefits and work/life balance. Small company, but progressively growing. However, not large enough yet to place on additional contracts if contracts are lost.

Synergy BIS is the new lowest bidder on the block. They win a contract and spend 5 mins per employee to learn how things work and gauge if they should be brought on.

While management rolls up in a six figure expensive Mercedes they offer you 20-30% less and sub par benefits (2 weeks of vacation super high deductible healthcare).

The management has a dangerous habit of being sexist to women and LGBT phobic to people.

In the end they choose to ignore experience and let them walk out the door 100's of years worth of experience on systems that only those people knew. In the end leaving a void that will leave our hard working men and women in the field vulnerable to lacking information, wrong information, and a higher workload without dependable access to information.

Most mismanaged contract transition in the history of mankind

I've been in government contracting for nearly 20 years and have never seen such an unprepared, disorganized, and non communicative group in my life. 5 minute "interviews" to gauge how to staff, and who to staff a contract with is laughable at best, and downright offensive at worst. Allowing people to sit in the balance for weeks especially around the holidays is the polar opposite of how you treat people. There is seemingly no methodology to determine who retains their job and who doesn't. Experience is clearly not a want nor desire, as many are being cast aside whom possess years of experience and a drive to support the contract. But that can't be explained in a 5 minute interview, and it's abundantly clear they only glanced over resumes.

If you have valuable and marketable experience - run to literally anywhere else where they value potential employees as assets, instead of billable resources to make more money for the upper management.

Unorganized, Embarrassingly unaware

Poor planning and execution from the top down.
Management is blissfully unaware of the needs of potential employees, especially when the situation is a takeover of existing workplace. No effort to reassure or inform as to progress. "Interviews" perfunctory and demeaning.

Pay offers of 20% below current or market even when they are aware of salary needs and expectations.
Work / Life is a joke - "Core Hours" are ruthlessly enforced without care to personal needs.
Stands by and allows years of experience to walk out the door leaving the customer concerned as to the status of their systems.
Be Very Careful with this company and get Everything in writing.

In summary: Not Trustworthy - all they care about is their bottom line. Go somewhere else.

Company is small. They try to assign you to other projects if yours end but the company being small makes it difficult to find project to keep your skills current.

Good contracts SAF is the best. Very nice people. Great location in Arlington. Good commute. Very nice upper managment.
