I have been at TWF for over 5 years and feel fortunate that I work for a company that truly puts its people first. Our company is going through a growth spurt right now and with that comes a learning curve, but it’s exciting because all of us play such an instrumental part in the change occurring. Each of us has an impact on how our business is run and the leadership team makes sure that every employee has the opportunity to share thoughts and opinions and they are very transparent and communicative about all company information, including strategic plans, goals, and company financials. Not many other companies that I know of operate this way. TWF has also invested in my continuing education/certifications and has encouraged me to be involved with trade associations and groups. I love our company culture and am blessed to work alongside some great people.Added bonus is the ESOP and I can’t wait to see the impact that has on my retirement!

They sure love to jam employee owned down your throat like its something special. I am sorry but $5000-$8000/ year (depending on tenure) deposited into an account I can not touch until I am 65 is not going to shadow the lacking. I sure would love the ability to invest that money *sigh*They are on the brink of becoming a big time GC, but have some of the worst organization imaginable for file management among other things. The one thing that is currently stopping them from becoming a big time GC is their inability to manage the operations safely. You would think a company performing $150M worth of work would find the time to implement a safety program - but they are completely content with guys working out of the back of their truck and letting them work how they want to work so long as "they pay the bills." I will never hang my hat up on a company that treats money more important than safety. 5.98 T.R.I.R @ 253,000 man hours - yikes.

I've now been with TW Frierson for 20 years, and I hope to retire here. We are now employee-owned, so my work has even more meaning to me and all my coworkers. What we do every day really matters. The management believes in and invests in the employees with training, special events, and the ESOP retirement program.Great company with a great reputation around the southeast.Treat people right, from subcontractor partners to clients to employee-owners, everybody is treated like family.

Good support from management. There are instances when too many people are involved in some of the decisions. We could be more efficient in some areas if folks stayed in their own lane.

Been working for this company for over 25 years. They do treat employees like family. That is the reason I will retire from this great organization.
